If your server has not been hacked by the submarine hackers who are hacking into the game while on server causing objects to appear, kick your players and more you are lucky. It has happened to alot of Mohaa servers lately. They made a mistake. They hacked into the [FS] server.
It is against the Law. I have the IPs of the hackers. They are operating out of Canada on Shaw Internet Service. I have notified my Server Rental, My Internet Service,Shaw Internet Service and ever Internet Service they hopped to get to the [FS] Server and of course the apporaite goverment agencies.
They should have not come and hacked on the Fighting For Freedom Server, belonging to the Free Soldiers.
I have the time, know how, and the money to see these Hackers burn in Hell.
Let us standed united against these hackers!

ive heard about this...i was just on a server today and they asked me if stuff had been "popping up" on our own dedicated server out of the blue...i hope they are stopped

Very good idea. If possible put together a very small guide on what are the appropriate steps to take to report these IP address. If say XXX cable provider gets 2 or 3 complaints from server admins. There is a possibility they will lose there service.
This alone is worth the trouble. Then there parents can take care of the rest because daddy cant surf the net anymore.
We could be onto something here,

It's like a denial of service hack. I personally don't know specifics, but it would easily hold up in court. We pay for a service and provide it to the community and our provider also provides a service for the community (although it costs us, not them, but still). When they crash the server they are actually denying you and the people who play on your server the service you are paying for.
I agree with RD. Write a guide so we can all combat this. Not only could there be reprecussions to their cable/dsl provider, but this could even go as far as being a federal crime. That would most definately cause Daddy to choke on his coffee. evil:

A great tool for tracing hackers back to their ISP's can be found at:

Or you can skip reading the info about it (RTFM is the best idea) and simply download it from:
[url:88688]http://www.pc-help.org/trace/trace.zip[/url:88688]
It will find you their ISP and the ISP's provider too. (complain to both)
It will find their MAC address. (much better proof than an IP)
It will find the abuse@ address for the ISP if one exists
It also finds out some other semi-useful info.

why would anyone want to come into a server and crash it? some people are fuc*kin losers man.
"Hi, im a hacker and i like to crash servers! Lemme come in here and ruin the game for everyone and cause the admin alot of problems."
people like this should be shot on the spot.

Oh boy... where to start... you have no trace of any idea what you're talking about but you try to sound as if you actually have a clue. All right:
1: This is not a "hack" (term used by lamers who can't differentiate between hacking & cracking). This is not a modification. This doesn't even go against the EULA because they're simply using an in-game menu. That doesn't even require an .ini editing, for crap's sake. It can be activated with two command line parameters. That's all. Thank the developers for
2: There is no "attack". LOD spawn menu (which they use) is designed for spawning objects. That's its purpose, spawning, not crashing. The fact that it MAY crash a game is because of server configuration, state of the game, etc. It MAY crash the game by lagging but that's not the purpose of spawning an object. So there's not even a malicious intent in it, not to mention actually using anything remotely "illegal" for it.
3: This is not a DoS attack. This is not an attack at all. Their ISP will look at their logs, won't find any port scanning, any packet bombing, nothing malicious. Not a thing, so he will just ignore you. And that's it. All you can do is ban the abusers from your servers. Which is what I did on mine, permbanning their whole IP range, so those with dynamic IPs won't be able to return, either.

I think it is some kind of deficiency syndrome, they like to screw everyone over in cyberspace because they're inferior in teh real world.
Because they know that they can't screw people over in real life (because they will probably get stuffed in a very small locker, or put in jail), they do it in games where we can't do anything bad to them.

Oh BTW, here's a tip for admins who actually know what to do: how to recognize the spawning guy and ban him? This is what I did.
It's true that by default spawning a large object with lodtool WILL disconnect the offensive player, so if something gets spawned and the player who just left then immediately reconnects, he MAY be the guilty one. MAY BE. BUT by a simple modification they can STAY connected after spawning the object. Additionally, a lagging player who's near the spawned object may be disconnected or kicked instead (or with) the person who did the spawning. So this is no clue. The only real way of recognizing them was what I did on my server: I knew someone was spawning fire all over (without disconnecting), so I started watching everyone. That was the clue. Bringing up the LOD menu and selecting the object to spawn takes a lot of time. They can't move then, so I looked for players who didn't move for quite a while and started moving right after something spawned. That's how I recognized them and banned them.

we have made a small fix for this but there is a nasty bug where the server crash's at the ned of the first map once we iron it out we will realesh it and stop this crap.

correct, too many people trying to sound clever here are making themselves look like complete retards. its an annoying 'bug' in the game if EA dont fix it then we will all have to put up with it. end of story.
