dont worry Mad Dog, you said nothing offensive even if you did, i am used to it. my Grandfather was actually in Das Reich, the 2nd SS Panzer Division. too bad i did not know him better .

anyway, i am sorry if many people asked about the demo, but you have no idea when it may be released? no general date? like never...

You forgot Stalingrad...in your list.

Obergrenadier...in what unit of Das Reich did you grandfather serve? Just curious as it's hard to meet people who had family in the war, on the Axis side (live in America). How long did he serve? And, hope you don't mind me asking, did he survive the war?

Wolfshook, to tell you the truth i have no idea what unit, i never really thought to ask even though i heard some great war stories from my uncles . my grandfather did survive the war, but died right before i was born so i never really knew him except from what my grandmother and uncles told me about him. my grandmother passed away back in '95 so i will ask one of my uncles about his unit designation and such. btw, my parents moved to the US right after i was born from Baden-Baden. if you dont mind waiting i am going to e-mail my uncle right now to ask him some questions. now i am curious to know

edit: sorry, i believe he served from late 1943 on to the surrender.

Cool stuff. Will be interesting to learn more.

My grandfather served with the Merchant Marines, and fought against the Japanese, in the Pacific.

It's amazing, really, to think what the men who fought the war went through. That they survived at all, is amazing.
