Question Regarding Spearhead! -
11-04-2002, 08:20 PM
Yeah yeah, blah blah blah...you've probably heard it all.
I remember reading somewhere that Spearhead is going to require top-o-the-line video cards. Is this true? MoH:AA runs just fine on my video card. Just wondering, because I would love to get it when it comes out and not save up for a new video card.
This is the same problem I had with BF:1942, and I don't want it to happen to MoH!!
BTW, I have a Nvidia TNT2 64MB.
Thanks for any input!

Playing MOH isnt all video card. This game relys heavily on processor too. I ran MOH with a 733 piii and a gf2ti at 640x480 with almost all setting meduim to low and got about 20-40 fps depending on the map. I upgraded my pc to an xp2200 w/ new ram, mobo, etc, but kept the gf2ti. Now with everything turned up all the way I get max fps on most maps with the lowest being 30-40 on only the very worst frame rate maps. Usually I run at the 95 fps (where ever it is capped) max. That gf2 is just begging to be replaced, but I just cant find a reason to yet. I am trying to hold out so I can get either a 9700pro or the next gen nvidia. The gf4ti series has very little technological advantage over my gf2, just faster. I need somethng that will run doom3 next.

I would think that Spearhead would use the same specs needed for MOH:AA, so if you can run AA, I would think you can run SH.

That is indeed good news because I can't afford to upgrade my PIII 550Mhz quite yet.
Believe it or not, it DOES play MOH on the lowest of the low settings.
