in the movies you see the guy reload the M1 Garand really fast I would rather want it to be like DOD

2015 have made the choice of playabilty over realism in the case of the Garand reload animation. And from what I've seen of people reloading a Garand it can be done a hell of alot more quickly than it is done in DoD. DoD is a great mod but it's not something I would go too for complete accuracy.

How do u know he isn't holding a clip? U cant see his other hand so its a possibility he has it in his hand or maybe its strapped onto the butt of the gun like some m1 carbines would normally have it .

I used to think the same thing as you about the garand reload but know i love it. In dod the reload sequence looks far too laid back like the guy has all the time in the world to reload and its the length of that sequence thats got me killed many times.

Also in DOD u have to fire off 8 shots before reloading which is realistic. In medal of honor u can reload any time you want which may not be realistic but theres far to many times in dod where ive ran round a corner with 2 rounds left and had 3 or more germans waiting for me.

If the ai in this game is as clever as its made out to be we will need to reload whenever we can

I know he didn´t have another clip in his hand because he was holding a rifle with both of them.

there was a guy from gamespot who tried the game, was shooting at Germans with a Garand and they where taking cover and when he finished his clip and the sound when the clip goes out of the gun came they began shooting at him again so the AI is probably very good

I watched video 2 again and now i´m ok with the reloading speed but while there still in the water he shoots like 5 rounds at the bunker and reloads, he didn´t take the remaining clip out so what happened to the 3 remaining rounds?

Already told ya about that in my above post. That was done for gameplay reasons cause peeps were getting annoyed at having to fire off 8 rounds in order to reload. Is not entirely unrealistic in real life garands there is a button you press to take out semi used clips.

In the game you have an ammo count say 200 rounds or so. If you reload after firing 4 shots the gun willl reload but only deduct 4 rounds from your total amount because the previous 4 weren't fired. This is assuming it works the same as it did in the psx MOH.

Not sure if i agree with that method though id say it would be better to make you lose the unfired rounds that way you would reload in mid clip far less thus making you conserve ammo.

When powel reloads he just sticks the clip in and fires away. Dont u have to load the bullets in by pulling back on something? or do they lock in bythemselves somehow?

I play DoD and i'd rather see myself having to fire off my remaining rounds. and the reload speed is retardedly fast. at least slow it down some and not cram that bangolier in it at supersonic speed. the game is already realistic so why not at least go for the garand reloading realisticly to. and whenever i'm in that situation with like 2 rounds left and more germans in dod i just run back and go prone behind something and reload. its fine. and in real life everyone knows they couldn't reload when they still had rounds in there. well actually...they could except it was very hard. they had to like press some catch on the back of the action and something else and thing pop the ammo out.
thats my opionion anyway on this issue.

YES, I want the game to be like that (you can take the clip out but it takes time and you lose the rounds in that clip, and he needs to take longer time to reload.

Traditionally, you would have to "charge"(Hence the message at the beginning of DoD) your weapon every time you load a new clip.
You do this by pulling the bolt back quickly and letting it fly forward, catching a bullet and making the gun fireable. Modern guns still require charging after a fresh clip is loaded.
