erm, ok oOo:

so you cant have the actual axis scope for allies, can you have an axis style scope with a single vertical crosshair thingy, or has it got to be a cross?

i have an idea but i need one of the scripters to tell me if it would work.. well i think you can make the axis top and bottom to allies by renaming them zoomoverlay1.tga zoomoverlay2.tga and then in the shader file or something make it like you would do with an animated crosshair..

biggrin:
just an idea i wonder if anyone could do it

yes but the animated scopes have the titles zoomoverlay1.tga + zoomoverlay2.tga to make the animation right upto zoomoverlay 10 in some cases.......

so you couldnt just convert the scope to allies by takin the kartop and rotating into position (like you do with zoomoverlay to convert to axis)???
can't figure why that wouldnt work myself.

what? !! the axis scope has 3 hairs...and what u r sayin with the kartop wouldnt help anyway as the zoomoverlay is only 1 segment and then mirrored and flipped to make the scope where the axis is 2 segments and they r only mirrored....so thats why it doesnt work...the allie scope has to have the same pattern in the top half to the bottom half where the axis u can have a different pattern on the top and a different 1 on the bottom half of the scope

as long as the axis scope has the same pattern on the top as it does on the bottom, then it could be done by flipping kartop and re-naming it to zoomoverlay.

about what i said, i thought about it some more and realized it is impossible

i was wondering could you just script it so when the game gets to the part in the sharder or whatever flie that instead of opening zoomoverlay it just opens kartop and karbottom, sort of like a redirect thing?

what does the scope look like? if the pattern is the same on the top as it is on the bottom then it could be done. About the scripting part... you might be able to do it, but i have no idea how. I'm having the same trouble in Spearhead!! The allies and axis are using the same file. So if you find out how to script the scope let me know!!! biggrin:
