Default Getting SH to Work on ASE - 11-14-2002, 11:26 AM

Can someone give detailed pictures on how to make SH work on ASE. Seeing as im posting this at work i wont be home till 1:00 p.m. I hate using gamespy and i want to use ASE or ill have to ocntinue playing SP for now on Gay spy. Although i did find a good server hosted by Xgaming servers.com. I would like to start using ASE for SH. Thanks for any help.

I think you have to wait for some NON-Lazy poster to create a filter-text for ASE, so that it CAN pick up the Spearhead Servers running, much like someone did for the demo (although for some reason my SH-Demo went all winky on me). And i'd rather use the in-game browser than anything else - at least I dont get a lagariffic loading of ads after every game.

I know what you talking about.. I got rid of that problem by configuring the favorites folder that I add SH ip's to, pointing it to spearhead.. and I have that filter that adds a spearhead section which aslo points to my spearhead executable...

so when I add an IP to the favorites. it's automatically placed in my spearhead section.. and ya! the double clicking is working so far.

Remove credit card from wallet, send twenty $ to gamespy for lifetime membership, finsh. It isnt as user friendly as ASE, but then again, I like to be able to scan servers for the game I'm using.

i'd break out a pen and send GaySpy and EA a letter the old fasion way explaining that you will not be purchasing either product untill they allow ASE to show Spearhead servers.

The only real problem I have with Gamespy is it always disconnects me. ASE has never done this, that is why I registered with ASE instead of Gamespy. Now they make you have use Gamespy. EA and Gamespy are starting to piss me off. evil:

yes.. and the biggest problem using gayspy is it does not filter out private slots.. so half the servers on gayspy that appear to have empty slots. thoughs slots are actually private. so when you try to connect to the server. you get the server full message.. so then you have to exit, reload gayspy, try another server.. very gay.
