I've been trying to "tweak" the game to run better, but no luck. I'm running 1ghz, 512 ram, ati radaon 9700, and sb audigy gamer...can anyone tell me what I need?....am a newbie to this stuff, and would like to play online with my sons in Denver and Houston. Appreciate the help...thanks.

I'm also runing win2k and have not noticed any real slow down. I have everything maxed except curves and terrian which are one step down. I'm running 1152x864 with my Ti4400 with 2x AA and a P3 but only 866mhz! I haven't done a FPS check yet, but it's running well enough that I don't feel the need to tweek it.

Windows XP and 2000 users should not install SP1(XP) or SP3(2000) for their computer, there is a driver issue for GeForce video cards in it that slows down performance in those packs.

I don't know about performace of nvidia whit the sp3 . But SP3 make my computer stable as i never saw before .

Yesterday , i was playing medal of honor . I have windowed the game and install driver of the printer (because i don't know why it was not install), and than , print some maps . Icq was on , crowking was ont . Du meters was on , antivirus was on . Outlook was on. A teamspeak server whit 4 guys plus a teamspeak client. Try to do that whitout sp3 or any other os.

NO CRASH . A BIT SLOW . Since the SP3 , my computer NEVER CRASH . AND I MEAN NEVER .

Ugh.

Nobody listen to this guy as far as PC recommendations.

You should ALWAYS install service packs as soon as they become available.

They patch up serious security issues as far as your PC. If you get the chance to install a service pack, do so.

It’s uneducated remarks like that which cause computer problems in the future.

SP1, or Service Pack 1 is NOT a hacked/hackable version of Windows.

(I honestly hope you just made an error in communication on this)

It is a pack of all available patches and fixes released since the OS (or Operating System) became a release candidate, plus various new fixes only available through downloading the Service Pack.

The only thing that relates to a 'Hacked version of Windows' is the fact that Windows XP Service Pack 1 will not install if the existing OS was registered using a Pirated CD-Key.
