Default Mothahboards & Chipsets... - 11-19-2002, 11:16 PM

I'm going to put together a new PC pretty soon. I can't figure out which chipset is best for gaming. I currently have an AMD system and would like to put together a P4 machine next time around. It seems like Intel has about 5 different 845 chipsets. Which letter is better? What about the SiS chips? Which is better? Heres what I am looking to put in:

Intel P4 2.6+
DDR memory
Possibly RAID HD configuration
8X AGP
533FSB
5 or 6 PCI slots
USB 2.0 if possible

Can't think of much else thats mobo dependant. Any model suggestions or at least manufacturers? Thanks!

also... anyone know anything about the nVidia nForce2 chipset?!

Best PIV chipset right now is the 845PE

You are best waiting though, and hoppin on the DDR-II bandwagon due out in a few months.

I'm pretty sure there's no Nvidia chipset for Intel chips...
