You guys in the US have re-enactments? How intense does it get? how serious is it? how close to the actual event is it as far as equipment and loaction goes ie authenticity?

So far ive only done vietnam reenactments, but from what ive seen, it can get pretty intense at times,(the only problem is waiting for contact)From what ive heard about the wwII events, they are even more intense since there is no patrols(or nature walks, if you will) out wandering around looking for contact. Apparently wwII is more straight forward, more killing, less walking.

Bürgen is back!!!

well after a 12 day hyadius, I have returned to cause you all sorts of torture and displeasurable thingies .

but anyway, yes the reenactments are very intense and as far as our stuff, the guns are the real thing and most (about 80%) of our gear and uniform items are originals, and what isn't are all expensive 'museum quality' reproductions.

Imagine....Burgen running at you, screaming incoherent things about germany or something, toting a gunning, in full SS gear, with about 25 friends(course i'd be scared if burgen ran at me alone and naked, so the gear is just a bonus)and quite possibly spraying an mg42 upon your ass....scary
