I sware. There like a freaking plague. What is the deal with these freaking grenade spammers. There primary weapon is a grenade to them. I just came back from a server and am really aggrivated by them. We were playing 'The Hunt' and I'd be in the second floor of the first house to the right side closest to the allies (The one that leads to the sniper house) and two grenades would fly right over my back and land in front of me. Counting on the way they richochetd I knew they were thrown over that one wall behind me by that backalley street leading to the church. The guy had no clue I was even there. Next round, I decide to go left when we start as allied so I run up to that wall. Next thing I know I have three freaking grenades going over the walls and bouncing in front of me. I could tell it was grenade spamming because no other teammates had followed me that round to give my position away and I was also pressed up against the ivy and stone wall.
So that's what has me angry. I'm not complaining about nades themselves. Oh no, sometimes a nade is the best way not to use your ammo and to get a nice big explosion after trapping maybe your enemy in a small room ex. the hotel rooms in the map 'The Bridge'. But when you blindly throw a grenade around not even thinking there might be a guy there is just annoying. I want to see the next patch have something where the server can't decide TK or not, it's just TK three times your banned for a day from that server. It would make sure people don't throw their nades around blindly and crap. Make it a little more realistic.
And while I'm on a roll here let's talk about why people don't like rockets and shotties? I don't understand it. It is only an authentic weapon of WW2. I bet the soldiers were moaning just like you guys because the enemy had a rocket launcher and they had a SMG.
German Soldier: Oh Darn! He blew my leg off! Thats no fare!
Allied Soldier! Boo Ya!
German Soldier: Screw this, I'm writing a letter to the gov't to ban RL's.
(Allied Soldier walks over with shotgun and blows his other leg off)
Allied Soldier: Got you again!
German Soldier:... And Shotguns too. Boohoo, it's not fare they have good weapons!!!
Well guess what! Suck it up! I can't wait till the D- Day advanced mod comes out with the flamethrower. Oh my god, I can't even imagine what the posts are going to look like. Post back.

Well to answer your question, the Bazooka is an anti armor weapon, not an anti personnel weapon. They were used in that regard during WWII, the shotgun also known as the Trench Gun was used in WWI and WWII, it was used for close in fighting. I have no problem with Shotguns being used. But unless you have a bunker or Armor situation, the Bazooka or rocket launcher should not be used. Alot of people just use it to get easy kills. If you like to use rockets start a rockets only server. But I guess its really up to the individual players. I personally think the Rockets take away from the intent of the game. I know some people will say ,"If they didn't want us to use them they wouldn't have put them in the game." But your missing the point of why the weapon is used and what it is used for. As far as grenades, well that's part of the game too. But if you suspect a hiding place, which on short maps, that's not really hard to do, the the Nade is the answer for cleaning out the enemy without exposing yourself. Nuff Said. GR swordfight:

first: actually it was a well known tactic to throw grenades into houses, bunkers, etc. even if you didn't see an enemy run in there was SOP (standard operating procedure) because it's better to waste a nade than get capped in the arse.
second: shitguns weren't used all that much in WWII.
and the reason people whine about them is not because they are powerful but because other guns are weak compared to real life. think about it, if a shotgun takes 1 hit to kill and a Tommy takes 5 whos going to win if two enemies of the same aiming skills run into each other? It is quite annoying, and not realistic to have a guy that you shot 3 times with a Thompson just run up and shotgun you. The other guns are so weakened that the shotgun has a distinct advantage and sooner or later everyone will use one on a stock server. what fun is that? If you want to use nothing but shotgun go play doom or quake.
third: I believe that bazookas were inded used as anti-personnel, but only for clearing out houses and bunkers, like a long range grenade.

Naturally. Of course, there is no spawning in real life. Besides, that's not really spamming. Nobody threw 3 or 4 grenades into a building just to throw them. I use grenades fairly liberally, especially when I'm using rifles, but I don't throw them just for the sake of throwing them.

yeah that mod is fucking RAD. you dont stay alive for more than 10 seconds if there are 3 or more people in the server.

here we go! this is how we can solve all the name calling and bitching about the shotgun and rockets...
Make a mod that makes every single weapon have the same specs so that no matter what, you cannot bitch about it. that would be the end of it!
if you dont like shotguns or rockets = find a server not using them or play on a server running CKR. it distracts people from using them. heheh

i'd like to have seen hand to hand combat in the game. I'm kinda dissapointed by can't holster all your weapons and still give some sniper a box on the ear for not paying attention to their surroundings.
Surely clubbing a sniper is the best thrill in the world.... biggrin:

I agree with Stryker on the shotgun. Either the shotgun is too powerful ( I cant believe the damage it does at a medium distance) or the MG and SMG is not.
ON the RL/Bazooka, it WAS sometimes used in WWII as an anti-personell weapon but lets face it you did not have enough grenades in stock to just shoot them at a single soldiers in the battlefield all the time nor did you have three or four of them in a group of 8 guys.
For the RL, I say just limit the number of grenades (3) which will discourge the number of guys that use them or only allow one guy to get one out of five but they should be in the battlefield.
