I would have said my prairs and kissed my cross and ready my rifle for intense war. No crying, but yelling to get my comrads across the beach w/me.

"Sure, we want to go home. We want this war over with. The quickest way to get it over with is to go get the bastards who started it. The quicker they are whipped, the quicker we can go home. The shortest way home is through Berlin and Tokyo. And when we get to Berlin, I am personally going to shoot that paper hanging son-of-a-bitch Hitler. Just like I'd shoot a snake!"
- General George S. Patton, Jr (addressing to his troops before Operation Overlord, June 5, 1944)

If I would've been in front and wasn't the unlucky fellow getting rapped first ? RUN FOR THE SHINGLES.

If I would've been in the middle / back ? JUMP IN THE WATER, UNHOOK MY STUFF AND HEAD FOR THE SHINGLES.

As far as I'm concerned, until you get to a safer place, it's every man for himself. When a safe haven is found, you can gather your senses and strength to fight back.

Selfish is the word

I'd say "screw this.." and kill eveyone on my boat. Okay..I'm kidding...I don't know what I would do. I'd be scared as hell..I'd start coughing (something I do when I get very nervous) and when those doors open, I'd be ducking a heading towards the first beach obsatcle I see.
