Default Pistol whip vs. Rifle Bash - 11-27-2002, 07:53 PM

Does anyone know if a pistol whipping causes the same amount of damage as a rifle bashing?

Also, don't you think a 20 lb. BAR would wreak more havoc than a 10 lb. STG or flimsy Sten?

Thanks for your help.

If I knew what you were talking about, I wouldn't have to ask.

Nope, about 19 lbs or so. The only online proof of this is in German, so you have to convert it:

If I knew what you were talking about, I would do just that.[/quote:ca191]

ok
go to mohaa\mainta\
right-click on pak0.pk3
select 'open with'
choose your ZIP program (winzip winace winrar whatever) and select always use.
now you can browse through the inside of pak files rooly easy.

if you browse through them to a dir like (from memory)...
pak0\models\weapons\
you will find a bunch of text looking files named after all the weapons like...
p38.tik
thompson.tik etc
open these up in notepad and these contain all the weapon attributes.

there should be 3 differnt values for what you said referred to as 'secondary attack' if not called bash.
1. SP bash damage
2. DM bash damage
3. DM realism bash damage

Weird. I remember talking about this with some other guys a few months ago. I though we had a sight that it was 40lbs. I remember being amazed at the weight.

There are a lot of webpages that have it though:

Why the US Army would issue a 40 machine gun is beyond me...I did read somewhere, though, that the Marines in the Pacific theater used a personal anti-tank weapon that weighed in close to 35 pounds. I think it had 'Boys' as part of the name, but can't remember. I'll have to look it up.

I think the average agreement on the BAR weight is 18.5 pounds.

Both work, but I find it funnier to bash them with a tiny pistol rather than a huge rifle!
