Default Speeds fixed but what about jumping and invisible people? - 11-29-2002, 03:56 AM

As we know, there has been alot of issue towards Spearhead with the speed, lean, vote, map rotation, and etc.....The one that seems to be a problem now is the jumping. I know Spearhead is set to g_gravity 512.000000 and to fix, from what I understand, is g_gravity 800.000000. Well, if a server rotates maps from the Allied Assault in rotation. It seems it is way more difficult to jump through certain points of window or out of the windows. It seems, more or less, unless you try to jump at an angle you will not be able to get in. In the setting of 800.00000 for gravity, do certain places after the decimal represent different values or something. I guess I am kind of lost on this one, but trying to set it back to the Mohaa AA settings is not working correctly. Maybe there is other variables involved; not sure. Any help you can give or advice. Thanks!!!

Now about the invisible characters. This is weird and almost seems like another glitch or something. Certain points during game play when you see the enemy, even at a stand still, their character seems to disappear for a quick second and then you see him again. I even noticed at one point I could not see him again til one of us moves. I haven't got the slightest clue on whats going on with that but waiting for EA's patch doesn't do game play anygood right now. Can someone shed some light on this and/or some possibilties for a fix. Thanks again!!!

I haven't heard nor seen the characters "blinking" out during gameplay. Just for kicks, you should try upgrading your video card drivers and see if this makes a difference in this matter.

As for the gravity, as far as I know, any numbers AFTER the decimal point will not make a difference on the gravity number, as a gravity change from say, 130 to 129 is NOT a big difference, either. Unless someone corrects me, stick with the whole numbers. biggrin:
