Thought to mention that, so keep the presents rolling cool:
Anyway, how many of you know what the nameday tradition is? As I think that US or Canadian residents don't celebrate namedays.

What a sec...A name day is like a birthday? So you get presents on both occasions...?

I think that the nameday idea originally bases on the saints, but at least here in Finland, that is long forgotten.
We simply have the nameday calendar, where few names are assigned to every day of the year, and today the ‘honor’ is mine.
Otherwise I really couldn’t give a damn, but when I was younger I used to get few presents from my parents and relatives on my every nameday.... So I guess I'll keep the tradition rollin'.

A bit like yes. Both come once in a year, and you get presents. Although nameday here is not as big as birthday. But there are some countries that celebrate the nameday more than the birthday.. Like Greece, I think..

Ya I think so. The calendars are constantly updated, so even if you're named like ass you still should get your change for the nameday.

365 days a year... im sorry but last time i looked in the phone book there where far more than 365 differant names. As for being constantly updated, what do they do rotate this shit? Frankly it sounds like a stupid holiday.
Political note: i hate all holidays, so finding out about a new one will obviously spark hatred. Yes... Every single one, Christmas, birthdays, Valentinesday, St. Patricks day, Easter, New Years, anything that is celebrated is hated.

As I said before, every day has few name entries, and every country has few of the name calendars. So if your name is not on the 'main calendar' you'll just find out that in what calendar it is, simple.
And no, nothing rotates, it's fixed date, every year.
