Problem -
12-16-2002, 04:26 AM
I don't know if anyone else has posted anything similar, but here goes.
I installed Spearhead, but now I can't connect to any AA servers. I try but all I get is a 'server connection timed out' message. I can connect to SH servers no problem. I tried reinstalling but that hasn't helped. Anybody have any idea?

are you trying to connect to AA servers using MOHAA.exe or moh_spearhead.exe?

My friend had a similar problem, she had to reinstall everything, we were not sure if spearhead f**ked it all up though, now you have same problem perhaps it did?

How are you trying to connect?
ingame browser
ASE
Game spy
Did you update SP to 2.11? could cause problems with AA?
Any mods installed?
I would do this
uninstall everything ( backup profiles and any saved games )
clean your registry of all MOHx entries
install MOH update it to it's final version
try connecting
then install SH
try connecting to both aa and SH
then install SH's latest patch
try connecting to both aa and SH
This way you can see where your problem lies
It's a lot of work but you will find out faster where your problem is by doing it this way.
Good luck

Thanks for all your help guys, but I found the problem. Whenever I put a certain v1.11 no-CD crack onto AA it changed it back to v1.00. That was causing the conflict as the AA game files were still patched up to v1.11. I found a new no-CD crack and everything is working fine again now.

Nope, nothing illegal. Both AA and SH are fully legit bought and paid for copies. I just can't be asked to keep putting the CD in the drive everytime I wanna play.

Listen up all, please keep in mind that linking to and the open discussion on how to get a no cd patch is prohibited here and against the rules.
But please do not assume someone has an illegal copy just because they use the no cd patch.
With this said this is the simple fact that we do not allow any discussion of the no cd patch. It can lead to other things and the topic and go way off into the wrong direction. This is not welcomed here at AA.com.
some history about AA.com. Way back in the early days
The developers (2015) of this once great game. Hung around and answered a lot of questions about this game before it was released. They even were here for the release to help some of us out. Once EA purchased the complete rights from 2015, They legally could not offer any more "official" assistance. out of respect to them and their hard work BS implemented the no cd rule.
This is not uncommon with any highly visible community because of the love of the game.
I hope you all understand why their is a no cd rule here and on other boards.
Nothing is stopping anyone taking any of this off line and in private. Just don't do it here on the boards.
Thanks
