Have 3d glasses now but MOHAA/SH won't load -
12-18-2002, 06:27 AM
I just bought some 3d glasses by eDimensional (kinda recommended here on the site), and for some reason MOHAA nor SH will load. It starts to load and then gives different messeges such as, "Can't find a shador file" and such. Now the funny thing is, it will play the SpearHead demo just fine, but not the retail versions of the game. Wierd. The glasses work flawlessly with all other games but the one I bought it for. Bummer. I'll call edimensional later today in hopes of some support, but I wanted to get this out on the forum here this morning since I have always gotten such great ideas and tech tips from youz guys. (And I really appreciate that BTW). I have unisntalled and reinstalled both MOHAA and SH, but to no avail (as well as the 3D glasses' software). I have gone to Nvidia and gotten the latest Stereo and Display drivers (for my GeForce3 card) and installed them, and still no luck.
I must admit it really adds dimension to the game, from what I can see in the SH demo (Malta).

I just wanted to add this; I just downloaded the original MOHAA singleplayer demo and the same thing happens. To clarify, it starts to load and then goes to a kind of blank screen (along with my freely moving mouse cursor arrow) and it just sits there doing nothing until I do a control/alt/delete, which cancels out the blannk screen and there I can see behind the 'end program' window, the MOHAA load screen error message.
There must be a simple conflict somewhere and prolly on EA's side but what it is I don't know.
Thanx again for any assistance in advnace.

OK, so let's get your MOH working first:

We'll work with the glasses later, get MOH working 1st.

Thanx Joe, I've copied your instructions and will give it a try. For now I have managed (somehow) to marry these to programs (MOHAA and the 3d Glasses). Everything is running fine and I am back into the frey! Thank you for the thoughful help and suggestion.
