It's funny how many people want to marginalize the role of the Western powers in World War II. Russia suffered greatly, it is true(30,000,000+ people died)but they were just as much a victim of Stalin's treachery as the German war machine. i think Hitler made some smart moves and some insanely moronically dumb moves like hmm.... invading RUSSIA. To win the hearts of the German poeple who were depressed and in the shits after the treaty of versaille took some brains as well as guts. he turned germany's indusrty into the greatest army the world had ever seen. the only reason hitler lost was his hate for the Slavs (why he attacked Russia) because hitler and stalin (btw stalin killed 30mil OF HIS OWN PEOPLE whil hitler killed 16mil jews etc...not to say its good but stalin was as much or more physcopathic then hitler was) could have been allies and they would have been unstoppable along with japan. think about it, britain would have fell very shortly after being starved into submission then it would have pretty much been america vs. russia, germany, japan, and italy and i dont think we wouldve won that fight. Actually Hitler tried to invade Russia because there was no way in hell Germany could support their war against the UK without new resources, especially fuel.
Of course at the time he thought that people would rally against Stalin (because like you mention Stalin was not an angel either).
He forgot one thing, love for the "motherland" goes deeper than loyalties to any particular leader/party (ie communists/stalin), funny that Hitler overlooked this because one of his own generals (Rommel) loved Germany but didn't like the Nazis.

Hitler spent two years in prison for treason. He and his gang of thugs attempted a Putsch, (coup), and failed . He was tried and convicted. Many of his top officials were addicted to morphine and little boys. Hitler knew and allowed it. He thought he knew more than his experienced Generals.(dumbass) His highest rank in the military was Corporal, and you think he was a military genius. When he took over from his Generals, he did nothing but make mistakes. He started a two front war. How smart was that? Had he listened to his Generals, and let them fight the War, things might have been different. He was a maniac and a mass murderer.

I have one thing to say...

Hitler should have taken history. If he would have realized that the Russians would duplicate the "scorched Earth policy" as they did with Nepolean, the outcome of Russia/world may have been different.

Well I was supprised that The Counter-Sniper mentioned Canada being part of the War effort. I know some U.S. history classes that don't teach anything about Canada in WWII. They wer in operation: Overlord for christ's sake!!!
