Default Need some help with my PC-DVD player.. - 12-27-2002, 02:57 PM

Alright, I got a DVD player for my PC for Christmas, and I'm having a few problems. It works and all, but when I play Star Wars Episode 2, or LoTR on it, it freezes every once in a while and then starts again and it's really annoying. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Both DVD's are brand new, so they aren't scratched or anything. BoB runs fine on there, but the others don't...I've tried watching them in both PowerDVD and interActual player and they do it all the time..The DVD player is a Hi-Val 16x DVD-Rom drive. Any help would be appreciated..

If it just freezes for a sec like if its loading then its normal. The computer is just reading the cd real quick. If you want to watch DvDs the way they are ment to be seen then get a DvD player.

Yeah, but at times it freezes for as long as a minute, and the program stops responding, then sometime later, it works again..

Have you tried looking on the internet to make sure you have the latest driver?
