Creativ Audigy and Spearhead

Greetings...
I just can´t get the damn game to work, I reinstalled my graphics and sound drivers, set all options to the lowest and still the game only runns in the öowest resolution, I switch to 800 x 600 and it crash. I think the problem is my audigy soundcard from Creativ. Anyone?
My hardware is new and fast, no problems in Allied assault..
Plz help...

yup thats it. i had creative soundblaster and i couldnt get spearhead to work at first. i had to switch cards and then it worked.

i have a Audigy Platinum, and i don't have problem
i that case, take a look to the new drives on the http://www.creativelabs.com, that helps

Actually the new drivers killed by Soundblaster, I had to uninstall them to get my sound back.

i run a sound blaster audigy sound card and have never had a problem. i think your problem lies elsewhere..BUTCHER

I agree, no issues with a SB Audigy.

tell us more about your hardware. whats your os mainly. and what video card are you using. this is a open gl game. that could be the problem. xp is no big fan of open gl. tell us more and im sure me or one of these smart guys around will get your game runnin...BUTCHER

I use NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 500, win XP ver 5.1, AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2000+ with 512 MB RAM. DirextX 8.1, I tryed to set soundacceleration down to low in DirextX.
In Spearhead I put all options to the lowest possible (advanced, video, audio), then it run, if I change up to 600x800 it crashes. Have to reboot the computer..
I have updated my grapics and sound drivers.
Mohha allied assult runs perfectly...

Found this read me file in SP, there I can read:
The following sound cards have known problems:
-Creative Labs Audigy
Currently hardware acceleration for this card does not
work correctly.

Thats why its strange that some of you can playit and I cant

xp does not work well with open gl games. but it can be fixed. check out this link and see if it helps you. i bekieve it will..BUTCHER

Don't know, I'm using SB Audigy and I haven't had any problems. I use the AUdigy card for game sounds and I run teamspeak through the card that is bulit into my motherboard.

it's a little bit strange men, because i install SH on XP and i actually runnin' it on 2000 pro, cuz' my XP blow Up (long history) and i didn' have this problem, try to reinstall only the drivers of the card and reinstall the game, remeber make a backup of your save games, maybe that correct the problem (dunno if that gonna work, but try it, because there's only one way to know)
