Ok, now it's time to spoil your fun. evil:
Those are actually NVBs (Night Vision Binoculars). The reason the caps are on is because they have a very tiny pinhole in them that revents about 98% of light going into the lens. With these caps on, you can see what Night Vision looks like, even at daytime.
So there! biggrin:[/quote:4732d]
Joe is correct, I once had a night vision monoscope.[/quote:4732d]
I still have one. I fauked it up too, though! lol
My friends and I were out one night on the beah (doing what? I HAVE NO IDEA!) heh (We were drinking. oOo: ) Anyways, my friend was using it and I told him to turn the IR on (infared). What this does is it shoots out a laser in the front, much like the laser on a VCR remote (Cant see it, just the red dot from the transmitter)
When he did this and looked at me, I took a picture of him with the flash on. This blinded the shit outta him, but also burnt a hole in the NVG's filament. So now, theres a black burnhole in the middle of the scope, lol
The scope itself is EXCELLENT! I'm in the military and I think they're as good as ours. ONly differene is that (1) they run on 2 AA batterys, instead of lithium, (2) it's a monocular, not a binocular, and (3) it dosen't have a head-harness so you can wear it hands-free.
