If you want to see the REAL console, add +set developer 1 +set ui_console 1 to your MOHAA shortcut.

well...That is what I keep hearing....IT does NOT work.I have tried /kick playername.....kick playername....KICK PLAYERNAME nad other variants.....Maybe it is the command console itself...You access it by pressing the ~ key right?
I need the FULL string including instructions if I am supposed to put parenthasis"" around their name...I doubt it but stranger things have happened.Do I need to put a/ in front of my string?I also went and looked at the alliedassault.com home page and,yup, it was right there....I printed the page and tried it and no matter what combination of kick playername I tried I could not get the player offf of my server

I need to know if the ~tilde key brings up the command console.....and I also need to know what the command strings are..like kicking unwanted players,and so on...
I tried to bring up the command console by pressing ~ and everything i typed in came up as chat text,what am I doing wrong?is this chat window?How do I get the real CC to come up nad what strings can i use there?

Create a shortcut and add "set ui_console 1" without the quotes. It just worked for me.

When you're in the Map Room

to get the console its:

shift key plus the ~ tilde key.

Once you have the console open:

type: maplist (enter)

see all the maps listed.

Clik on one and it will open.

by default the "~" key opens chat window
But if you go to options, advanced - there is a place to check off that makes the "~" bring up the console instead.

I think you can also type "callvote kick playername" to call a vote to kick a player once you have the console working

When you say to add the lines +set developer 1 +set ui_console 1.... When I create a shortcut and go to the properties of that shortcut I can edit the "Target" and "Start In" lines. I have tried adding the "set" lines to both and it says its invalid when I try to apply. Where do I put the "set" stuff?

add this line ONLY to the "TARGET" string....

AND do not forget to put a space between the " and the + or it will say "INVALID"...

to kick using the console....bring up the console...type status then hit enter....you will get a list of players in your game with a number in front of their nick...1,2,3, etc...at that point type clientkick (#) and who ever's number you put after that command will go buh bye.

Hmm, I bound my damn tab key (tab brings up the chatwindow) to something & now I'm not sure what to bind to get it or another key to open the chat window.. I think it's stoopid that the console doesn't show the chat text like in most other fps games..

No biggie though..

Oh, I think the "other" console people are talking about is the developer console. in the regular console type: devcon
To turn it off type devcon 0, or devcon off works too I think..
