You know, I've thought it over and, with the influence of Jaizen, Spooge, and the other Commies, I came to the conclusion that DoD's Communist style boards are best for here. See the quote below, taken from the words of a DoD moderator.
[quote:b336b]All post counts will be equalised. Based on the number of members, every person's post count will rise by 1 for every 11,400 posts made on the forum. With this system, spamming will be eliminated, since the competition for postcount is irrelevant. Please note that all members will receive equal postcount treatment, even those that have never and will never post anything. The number of posts required will increase as membership increases. In addition, each new member will be allocated their share of postcount from the current pool, which may result in an across-the-board drop in individual postcounts. This is a normal market correction and should not ever be mentioned. People on others boards have it much worse than you.
All members will be required to provide full and correct details of their names, location, income, hobbies, next of kin, a recent photograph, and a working email address. This information will not be sold to mailing lists or unsolicited marketing companies, although it may be used for harassment purposes. If you find yourself receiving spam mail or telemarketing offers after providing us with said information, it is in no way our fault; it is probably that spam mailing list you signed up for last month and then forgot about. That really happened, and we have documents to prove it.
Also, since social class needs to be eliminated, everyone will be given moderator powers. You will be able to edit, delete, move, close and sticky threads. Please note that any use of these powers will result in an immediate ban.
The efforts of current mods will be recognised by allowing them to post 1 extra [img] per post. This benefit will expire after 3 posts, and can only be used for images less than 32 bytes in size.
To control bandwidth usage, only 1 image may be posted on the forum every 2 weeks.
You will still be able to start threads, but some topics will be off-limits to ensure a stable and friendly environment. Check with your nearest authorised Topic Warden for a complete list. You will be allocated a topic from the list about which you may post. Do not make threads or posts about any other topic; the paperwork is a nightmare.
Failure to post about your assigned topic will result in an immediate ban.
New threads will be limited to 3 per day, maximum. And minimum. Failure to comply with this resonable demand will result in immediate banning and death for everyone who posted that day.
Do not post off-topic in threads, or you will be shot, and maybe banned.
All members will post in proper and correct English at all times. NO ABBREVIATIONS, NUMBERS WHERE LETTERS SHOULD BE, OR INTENTIONAL MISSPELLINGS WILL BE TOLERATED. Also, you may not be French-Canadian. All French-Canadians should report to their nearest Death Distribution Centre for, um, candy.
All members, 5 times a day, will stop whatever they are doing and pray in the direction of the Recon server.
All members will notice there are now three action buttons available: New Thread, Post Reply, and Revolt. If you feel these rules are unfair or you are otherwise upset in any way and wish to make a complaint directly to the admins, simply click the Revolt button and you will be banned automatically.
Do not talk about forums other than Day of Defeat. This is the only forum you need. Any talk of capitalist pig forums will result in you and your subnet being IP banned. A group of thugs will be dispatched to your place of residence to quietly discuss with you the benefits of a communist forum. This may result in damage to your garden gnomes, flower beds, or internal organs. You will be responsible for the cost of transporting said thugs to your house, and expected to provide lunch afterwards. Failure to do so will result in further thugging.
All rules are subject to change without prior or subsequent notice. Members must make an effort to stay up-to-date on the rules. A current copy, give or take 2 weeks, can be obtained from your local Forum Information Centre. In the event that one of the rules is that you cannot approach your Forum Information Centre, you will be notified by gunshot.[/quote:b336b]
Sounds good to me!
