I have been doing my duty for over 3 years and yet people don't think how us Police Officers are like the army in a sense. For one, we may not know you, but we are willing to put our lives on the line to make it safer for you to live in your towns. Everyone in this world is bound to make a mistake. If you are focused on the problem at hand, and something darts right to you, most cops instincts are to protect themselves. All it takes is 1 second to rethink the situation and by then, it could be too late. I'm sorry to say but I don't think they reacted the wrong way. For 1 reason, the family who was stopped should of closed the car doors and alerted the officers to the dogs presence. Maybe then, things would of been different. To punish the cops, I think that is a crock of shit. They go out everyday like I do, to do my job the best I can. No one in this world can call themselves perfect........ hake:
