Has anyone noticed this? The last Allied soldier valiantly sets the charge on the Flak 88 cannon, but the poor guy gets sniped just as he steps away. In the game, the round ends, saying the Axis win.

....tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. The bomb is still ticking! How come the Axis soldiers don't have to defuse the bomb?

In Counter-Strike,even if the Counter-Terrorists kill off all the Terrorists, if the bomb is ticking the T's can still win unless the CT's defuse it.

Will this be fixed?

That's a good point, especially if the charge is only seconds away from detonating when the last Allied player gets killed. Hope they change that in a patch.

Hrm, well what good does destroying a turret do if all the allies are dead?

hmmmm.....aren't the objectives for the Allies to find and destroy the 88? If the 88 explodes even though all allies are dead, the Allies should win. The Axis should have to disarm it to win the round. makes sense.

if you ask me, the round should NEVER end when the enemy team is killed. Why? it makes team deathmatch a viable option even on this map.

The way i look at it, the Axis need to use the 88 to fire on an allied convoy or something that will be comming in range in 4 minutes (say it takes 1 minute to destroy the convoy), the axis need to delay the allies from destroying the 88 until it can fire and destroy the convoy. (this is the only realistic explination for the timer i can think of heh).

So if that is the case, and the axis are able to hold off the allies for 4 minutes and 20 seconds, but the allies are still 30 seconds away from the 88, they should loose. Then even when all the axis are eliminated if they have delayed the allies long enough, the axis can still win.

On the flip side, when the allies sucessfuly kill all the axis, they must still move in and destroy the gun, the round won't end.

I'd be willing to sit in spectater mode waiting for the allies to blow the gun because i think it will promote the real essence of the map. If the allies can't win except by blowing the gun, they might as well get there fast and try to outmanuver the axis eh?

I'm guessing 85% of the time the round ends it's because one team has whiped out the other, and that promotes team deathmatch style of play. So force them to destroy the gun and it will not promote DM as much

Thats my idea and i'm stikin to it.

lol... you guys are both right, cuz the axis objectives are to eliminate the allies, and teh allies is to destroy the guns. I say its a draw!! lol

It's the secondary objective and not a bug. Same goes for if you are on the allied team, plant the charge then kill the last axis player you will win. I guess you are just assuming that after the last allied/axis is killed you plant/defuse the bomb even with time running out.

I don't think it is necessary for the Allied team to destroy the Flak 88 if they manage to wipe out the entire Axis team. Without any resistance you can pretty much assume the gun will be destroyed. No need to make the spectators wait. Besides, if all the Axis soldiers are dead who is gonna fire the gun?

I still think that the Axis team should have to disarm the charge in order to win the round. There is still a chance that they might not make it in time. In which case the gun blows and the Allied team accomplishes their mission.
