i don't know what to do, i've got it on the lowest detail settings, in 640x480 and this stupid computer still can't hold on to 10 FPS when i'm fighting
Specs:
PIII 500 w/256 mb ram
GF2 MX 200 with latest detonater drivers
got new drivers for Dx and my mobo to, my friend tweaked the settings and i OVERCLOCKED the thing and it still doesn't get above 15 FPS in firefights
i can't play like this, i know this card should be doing better then it is.

Well as you would know make sure nothing in running in the back ground.
Also make sure your Motherboard is NOT on 2x AGP, that can slow any card down, I have a PIII 933 Geforce 3, 390Mb RAM and when I was on 2x MOH ran like shit!
Now I got my new MB for X-Mas, with 4x, and she is running great.
Not a lot fo help, but some ideas, also a CPU upgrade could help, i think a 500 is Socket370, so a upgrade to a 800/900Mhz would not cost a lot.

most probably just a simple CMOS setting at bootup... mine is in there at least
i also heard talk on microsoft boards that 2x - 4x AGP doesnt really do much at all... unless you have an ultra fast mega thousand dollar card...
but hey every little bit counts!

Since I can't play the multi-demo, I still how Mohaa will run on my system. I've got about the same computer specs as Bridger, except the videocard, i've got a geforce 2mx 400. Do you guys think I can play Mohaa (singleplayer) at a normal framerate? And whats the difference between geforce 2mx 200/geforce mx 400?

I have a Vertro GeForce2 MX400 64MB SDRAM AGP Videocard. I also have a 400MHz Celeron Processor. The thing that sucks, is that it cant be over clocked, and its slowing down my videocard. I run everything at 32 bit, should I be going this ? MOH doesn't look as good as it should, I mean when I have all the settings up, and on everything gets really dark ! Whats up with that ? everything is dark, I hate that, I cant see shit. Whats going on ?

Well if you have a 2X, it will run a Gforce3 like a Gforce2. So think about that, it really does make a lot of difference.

i've closed all proggies in the background, think it's just the demo? I used to get OK frames in RTCW on 800x600 with most settings on high. But either the levels have gotten bigger or in the tweaking i screwed somehting up, because now the game is stuttering every once in a while. Actually, it's blue screening on me when i load a level, gonna try and reinstall, the single player is pretty fun.
Plus i only get 50 FPS in HL and i'm pretty sure this card can do better then that (friend had this exact card in his celeron 500 machine and it worked great in the Q3 engine (he never went below 1024x768) and got 99 FPS in CS).

my motherboard is ONLY 2x AGP (i think), the comp is like 3 years old. I don't think it has 4x agp, but if it is where do i look?
i'm looking at a mobo upgrade and goin with AMD this time, they much cheaper.

like skidrow said check to see that nothing is running in the background....to do this hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and shutdown EVERYTHING except systray and explorer....I used to have a problem with my framrate too...it would only run at 0-10FPS...when I shutdown all progs. the FPS jumped to 30-40...try this
and I'll bet it will come up a little bit....uhhhhhh as for the 2x/4x....I'll be damned if I know...skidrow will prob have to answer that one.
