Default Script messing up my computer? - 01-23-2003, 08:02 PM

I play on a server with a bunch of guys I've gotten to know. They're my friends, now. Recently, they had a script change to the CODE script. I've noticed my console has been getting flooded with certain things, this causes my system to lag as a whole. I ususally end up pinging out because of it. My console gets flooded mostly by "NET_SendPacket: WSAEINTR" or "Cannot spawn tempmodel because it is using the world as a brush model." I have no idea what the hell this crap means, but I'd like to stop it somehow.

What do you mean the CODE script? What is this?

Spearhead has a glitch that repeats error messages in the console indefineatly, but they shouldn't be lagging you THAT badly, that you get booted from the svr.

What are your system specs, and whats your connection speed?

I used to play perfectly fine on there until they switched codes. I can even send you screen shots of it flooding the hell out of my console. When the NET_SendPacket: WSAEINTR error pops up I hit 999. The website for their website is http://clancode.da.ru/

My system specs?
I'm running a 1.4 GHz AMD Athlon Tbird.
256 MB of DDR.
10 Gig HD.
I'm also running a No-CD hack for MOHAA, and that code can check that schtuff out.
And I currently use a 56k, which I usually averaged a ping of about 200 or 240 on the server before the script change.

Well, the 56K connection is probably why you're getting booted from the flood, it can't handle the data and the game at the same time. That's my guess at least.

I just don't understand what you mean by them switching codes. Maybe you should ask them for help, maybe you need to configure something.

ok looking at there web site that code security script is a server mod designed for dedicated servers if i was you i would just take it out and you should be ok.

Theres nothing on there site taht should be giving you problems though just delet the cfg file taht came with the pak and teh pak itself and then run repair from the install option in the game autostart and repatch to 1.11 and that should do it.

I figured out what I had to do. I had to remove that QoS Packet Scheduler thingy from my connection. I looked up on this on the net, it's a common problem amongst people who play FPS.

It reserves 25% of your connection, so for a 56ker it's like running a marathon with one lung.
