Default ERROR MESSAGE WITH MOHAA RADIANT! PLEASE HELP! - 01-25-2003, 01:34 PM

i've tried EVERYTHING i can.. i've uninstalled mohradiant, i've reinstalled, i've made maps that never gave me errors before, and i uninstalled mbuilder, reinstalled it,.. and I still get the same "MAX_SURFACE_INFO"

i've built maps the exact same way I have as before, and I NEVER got this error, and now I can't make a map without it coming up, and I have NO clue why. if ANYONE could PLEASE help, I would be VERY thankful.

One of the reasones you might get this error is if you have used too many brushes in your map

But... the thing is... I made one box, made it a Detail, and, put the player starts in, and I get the error after that....

ok if the box you made is touching the "void" you cannot make it detail - or you'll get errors..

Its not touching the void, there is a box around it.

Really think you should make it structural oOo:

Otherwise, as it's just one box, maybe recreate it.

Did you try compiling WITHOUT that box to be sure it IS that box giving the error? I've had the same problem and they're tough to pinpoint sometimes. Worst case you may need to resnap a lot of brushes or even copy and paste into a NEW map file. That happened to me, couldn't fix the error and copied/pasted everything untouched into a new file and it was fine. IF you have to do that, prefab all you can.

Ok,... I've tried structural, non-structural, but i'll try again to make sure. I've also made numerous numerous test maps, small maps at that just to see if the error would go away but it hasn't. Also, I've made a small map before and never gotten this error, and thats why im confused.
Thanks VERY much though, for everyones help

I bought spearhead a while ago,... would this have any effect on the Mbuilder Directories? or Would it have problems with other such things?
