Default Evere wanted to play a Waterloo style FPS? - 01-25-2003, 01:08 PM

Well now you can, tahnks to a new game called Cavalry Charge.

http://www.esp.ecatalogpages.com

Cavalry Charge is an historical 3D action game set during the age of small professional armies, when the elite and best soldiers rode upon horses into battle. For the first time, you will experience Napoleonic battles up close, from the vantage pointing of a mounted cavalry officer. You move and fight on horse back and when necessary on foot, in First-Person or Third -Person perspective.

You are an Elite Cavalry Officer, who fights with sword and pistols. You lead cavalry charges against enemy positions, during pivotal points in the course of historical battles. You may have to fight a duel or rescue a hostage along the way to victory. The fate of everyone is in your hands, your actions will determine who lives or dies. The General has given your orders, you decide the tactics. Will you go by yourself to spy on the enemy or will you take the whole cavalry company to rescue the hostages. Will you choose a fast agile light Arabian horse or a strong stout stallion to carry you into and hopefully out of harms way.

Experience grand historical battles as an elite cavalry officer.

Take on the enemy, using your own mix of raw power, speed and tactics.

Charge into battle, leading the army to victory.

The Mission

It was a typical mission for Cavalry Officer John Hunter. Lead a Hussar Company on a scouting mission. Locate the enemy army, fight a cavalry duel along the way, and capture an enemy officer. The captured soldier reveals the true intentions of the enemy forces. Now you must lead an attack against the enemy artillery before they bombard an important town. Your Hussar company is the only unit fast enough to reach the town in time. You have a job to do!

Game Play

You will be charging into battle, skirmishing with enemy infantry, leading assaults against enemy strong defenses. By dawn, the enemy will have been vanquished and the battle won. Your battle code is Duty, Honor and Country.

Back to school. You will learn how to ride and fight. You will ride as a light lancer, punishing disorganized infantry with the point. You will ride as a Hussar, sword fighting those who get in your way. You will ride as a heavily armored Cuirassier, breaking enemy infantry squares.

No free lunches. You will have to find your own lunch, shoot some rabbit in the field or try and chase down a plucky chicken for a meal.

Charge an enemy artillery position and then dismount and turn their own guns on near by infantry.

Seek out and fight a duel with the dishonorable officer, who has insulted you.

Rescue the General’s Niece from a band of deserters and punish the ring leaders.

Wow. A game hackers will leave alone completely.

You shot me in the tricorne thru the wall!

You must touch backs and walk 10 paces before getting 1 shot with a POS black powder pistol to have a pistol duel.

... oOo:

Sorry, here is the right link. Also the game is a standalone, not a mod.
