Weird things when playing spearhead multiplayer

Hi there,

When I join a multiplayer game from gamespy weird things happen while I'm playing. When I walk I can't hear it, but when I don't walk I hear myself walking.
Then there's this thing with the other players. One moment they're right in front of me and the next they lay like carpets on the floor.

Does anyone know what's going on here?

Its called Landsharking. Using ladders to crawl on the floor and get easy kills. Its basically a small-time cheat. Watchout for folks doing this.

But what about the sound. That couldn't be done by that, can it?

i've got the same problem, and it's not landsharking.... somehow after i reinstalled spearhead ppl were doing all kinds of crazy breakdance moves... also, when i shot someone...their 'ghost' was visible for 10 secs after they died... ill try and post some screenies if i can find a host somewhere.

Ah well it looks funny though..

when u shoot sumone they sit down on their a** and move around like crazy, thats the weird thing for me

And I only have these problems when I join a game. When I host one I never see it. Also my sound acts like it should then.

Iv only had Shithead playing on my server for two days now, and iv noticed the following weird occurances:

1) Invisible people (not in first map load but throughout intire round)

2) You can view players shadows through walls like sunflare effect

3) If a player runs into a wall or door they appear to `Dive` through the solid object for a fraction of a second

4) Obviously the rediculous effect of shooting someone and their erratic animation/sliding

5) Jerky erratic movement throughout gameplay, not related to lag.

The ass-slide. It's a known glitch.
