Just heard it on fox news, he was sentenced to life in prison plus 120 years.

stupid american sentances, im sure their would be a large outcry if they only sentanced the guy to 60 years plus life. i dont understand why they would sentance a guy to like 150 years.

the longer your sentence the longer before you're avalible for parole probably, who knows, life sentences are stupid anyway.

60 years plus life? They sentenced him to life and then added the 120 years to make sure as 1000 staples said the he has no chance of parole, I dont want an insane loon who tried to blow up a plane with explosives in his shoe to get out ever.

I really dont give a fuck if he were to become a quite old man who would never hurt a fly, he tried to murder over 100 people. thats good enough reason for me, to have him never see the outside of a prison again.

He'll probably kill himself in jail or something if possible. Sneak a knife from the mess (if they use silverware) I know I probably would.

Although some of you think the scentences are stupid, you should try some of ours (uk)
You will serve on average only 5-10 years of a life scentence for murder.
Most rapists walk away with a slap on the wrist and put on the sex offenders list for a few years, or prison usually up to 5 years. victim gets a lifetime of trauma.
Pedophiles dont serve much of a scentence and are rehomed without the public knowing, not far from schools. why? to "prove" they have been rehabilitated. And they wonder why they reoffend?!
You could go to jail longer for "verbally assaulting" a member of the royal family, than if you beat the living hell out of someone in the street.
By law (although it isnt enforced these days) treason to the royal family results in beheading. They STILL havent updated these laws!
You would be fined more for smashing someones window with a brick than if you ran over the persons kid putting them in hospital. although usually the people who have to pay for the broken window if its on a council estate is the council themselves, which comes off our taxes.

I could go on but ive got my self angry at this bullshit. All because of the namby pamby human rights bastards who preach about rehabilitation and all that crap M16:
