...and can u change the setting, i think i remember someone saying that he was going to just "switch his mobo from 2x to 4x in just a second"
That would makes sense about why my fps is so shitty, 2x AGP.

I would first check the web site of your motherboard.

You can go into your bios and see what the settings are under AGP, but be very carefull in there you could really screw things up

good luck

do you know what type of motherboard you have?
restart your pc from the power switch and watch the pre-boot screen for a message like "press Delete for setup" just press the delete key when it promps you too, Some motherboards tell you to press F2 or ESC so you need to check the pre-boot screen. If you can not see the setup message then your motherboard has desabled this message and you need to read the manual for it to press the correct key when you boot up, you can then enable the setup message so next time you can get into your bois easly, Be carefull like I said you can really cause problems by playing in there

The difference between 2x and 4x is minimal. I wouldn't worry about it.
I have my gf2 mx running at 1x for stability reasons. I'm still getting 57 FPS average.
Specs:
P-3 650@728
GF2 MX @185 core. 190 Mem.
256MB Ram.
Intel 440BX
Win ME
21.11 DET.
I tried 4x and saw no impovment at all.
( If you have an Nvidia based card)
If you want to change these setting easily look for NVmax software or Riva tuner. These are free programs and will let you change these setting.
Just do a search for them. Sorry but I don't have the URL's.

Sorry, but if we don't know the answer, we tend to go off topic.

Read every piece of paper that came with your computer, its gotta be in there somewhere... if you can't find it, try searching the website of the company that built your computer for a hardware list.

YO Test4Echo, i have got almost the same exact specs as u, and i get about 15 fps average. What game do u get the 57 fps with, sure as shit cant be medal of honor. Also, how du u switch 2x-4x AGP? (You seem to know) That has to be my problem.

My Specs:
P3 600
64mb Geforce2 mx400
5.1 sound blaster audio
320 megs ram

I get about 10 fps in any firefight, on lowest settings, and i close all programs running except explorer and systray.

First, if you have a high end card like a GF3 then making the jump from 2x to 4x is larger, because I had the very same prob, and it changed a hell of a lot.

Also it can’t be changed, 2x or 4x is built into the motherboard, the real way to tell is be looking on the mombo manual.

(moved to of topic, damn like 5 today lol!!)

Even if the MB is set to 4X, you'll need to tweak the registry or use a program to activate 4X - if the video card drive doesn't specify the option.
