Hello,
I have an Athlon XP 1600+, MSI K7T 266 Pro 2, 256 MB DDR Ram, and a VisionTek Geforce 3 Ti:500...yet this game stutters a lot! I can't walk 4 feet without a frame drop, and when enemy's appear it really gets bad!! Anyone have any ideas?

Btw, I am using Windows XP Pro, and the 23.11 detonator drivers. Q3 and RtCW run great so I would think this would as well (using Q3 engine).

Thanks,
Andrew

Well it seems like people are getting really mixed results with this game (on this forum and others). I only hope that the final retail version runs more smoothly on high-end systems. As for the 23.XX drivers, they have increased my performance on everything except this one game, so I do not want to go back to the 22.XX or 21.XX drivers. Anyway, thanks for all the postings, makes me feel better to know I am not alone.

Later,
Andrew

Sorry that this won't help, but I have a similiar problem, although my specs aren't nearly as good as yours. I run Q3 and RtCW just fine on my machine, but MoH really really gets bogged down for some reason. I have to turn practically everything off in order to get frame rates of at least 30.

Athlon 900 MHz, 256 MB SDRAM, 32MB GeForce2MX, Win2k.

I saw some help for y'all over on the aa.net boards, try leaving it at the same resolution, but turning textures down to medium, instead of high. Apparently to make the demo smaller they didn't include the high quality compressed textures, so the textures you're seeing require the game to do a lot more processing than it should. It helped me, and I'm running a P3 1 Gig, GeForce 3 Ti 500, 256 MB SDRAM. It was stuttering by the gun, and every now and then throughout. Especially when the Tiger Tank blew up the wall....cool effect, but it KILLED my framerate. So here's hoping that helps some of you, btw, that new sound pack works in SP, and it's AWESOME.

Well I can kindas see why MOH runs poor on my comp. Im running a :

400Mhz Celeron
128 RAM
Gforce2 MX 400 (64MB)
SoundBlaster LIVE! ( hehe just thought I would throw that in there)

And I have to run EVERYTHING as low as it can go. When it comes to MultiPLayer, I can run EVERYTHING as High as it can go, and I have NO problems. But im thinking its my CPU am I right ? I was running 3dmarks2001 and everything ran great, but when it came to CPU tsting, I like failed. Bah

And how I'll ever be able to, to tell her about days like today. Ah, Ryan...I don't know anything about Ryan and I don't care. The man means nothing to me. He's just a name. But if you know, going on to Ramelle and finding him so he can go home, if that earns me the right to get back to my wife, well then, that's my mission."

Turn off any programs in the background - ICQ, AIM, etc.

Run MSconfig and see what else is launching itself at startup.

yeah i got shit on a ti 500 to man this is the deal:

the dled SP Demo did not have compressed textures which means that it does not support high rez and thought it runs on High texture detail it chugs cuz it encounters alot of texture swaping

the second reason may be one of pre cahceing. This lvl is 1 in a serise and certin things the game calls for are not in the demo so it chuggs...there is nothign u can do about this

for the 1st one change the texture detail to medium, that helps and reduce the rez to like 640x XXX to get better resutls.

THIS IS NOT GONNA BE A PROB IN THE FINAL GAME....DO NOT WORRY!!!!! (2015 SAID SO)

And yeah, i would imagine that the SP demo on the CD from computer gaming world (out Jan. 8th) should have compressed textures...i would imagine..might not but still u will nto have any probs

Frambosie, thanks for clearing that up. I too have major frame rate problems with the game. Currently I can only play it at 640x480 with all other settings off ot Low. I will try the Medium settings tonight.

System specs:

1ghz pentuim proc...

512mb pci133 ram...

Geforce 3 ti500...

SB live...

WinXP...

i dont know why so many people are having bad framerates, i cant get the framerate thing to work, but i dont chop at all, not at any point of the game, only after playing like 4 hours long, i will get a chug here and there, your systems should be working fine...no problems with sp demo or multi, sp looks nicer too, all settings maxed out...

Hmm Really Strange??

i got a

T-Bird 1100
512 PC2100
Kt266a MB
Geforce 3ti500 (OC @ 260/560)
sblive 5.1

Running at Max settings 1024*768*32
and the game only stutters once in a while
(at the beginning) by the smoking gun
and a few times by the 4 guns at the end.

Using Detonator 22.80
via 4in1 4.37
NvMAX Tweak util
(Lets you change a lot of GF settings)

i have heard dunno if it is thrue but that the 23.xx drivers from Nvidia are slower
then the 22.xx ones

p.s does the MP demo work fine on your comp?
or does it stutter also?

Yea some ppl are having better results with the 22.80's than the new ones, try them and see. Personally with my geforce2 the 23's work fine. I have a geforce3 on the way Ill have to see if they still work ok with it.

WEll I have a 1.2ghz AMD athalon with 384k on-chip memory.256KB system memory and a 16MB Nvidia TNT2 M64 Pro.....I DO NOT have a problem with "chugging" in MOH:AA....I am using the recomended settings except for the screen resolution I run at 1024x768....I have seen guys like all of you with better cards, memory, and chipsets having TONS of problems with the game....I run this game great, with no problems....I think this is more a card issue than anything....All I can reccommend is to set EVERYTHING down to low...and work your way up from there....
My FPS Consistently run at 30-40....but guys with higher-end systems are running below 20FPS..I'll be damned if i know why I can run the game GREAT and you guys can't....
