The only time camping is bad is when its just down to you, and some other guy, and you camp. Because hes looking for you, and everyone is waiting, and getting mad.

What do you think the real soldiers did, they waited and ambushed. It's a military tactic.

Unlike in Quake, camping is a valid tactic in this game. There are times when you wait until an enemy gives away his location or walks by and you follow and take him out from behind. This is just good playing. But I have seen a player wait behind shrubbery ('nee!') until an enemy walks by, jump out and shoot, only to be killed by the enemy that was following. In such situations, smarter players will 'camp' until they know the locations of the enemy. Then come out and take advantage of their newly gained military intelligence by attacking from a position of advantage, perhaps when the leader has gone past a wall where he can't help the guy in the back. This game sometimes requires patience to play really well. Also, observers need patience to wait until the game finishes to respawn. If you don't have the patience, there's always Quake or Unreal

ok think about it "lightning war" campin is not technically campin in real life since yur life is actually on the line and no one is waiting for the round to restart, really dont care about campin unless its in a very unobvious spot that no one goes too, but what is fun is takin all the hosties in to the attic in cs_militia and the cts are forced to gop up there and u kill alll the cts and eveyone gets mad at u ahah its really funny

I don't see whats wrong with camping! Its not cheap, they can do it too if they want to. Its not like only you can camp and they can't. If they get capped by a camper, then they should learn from their mistake, be careful. If they don't, then they deserver to get wasted. When its down to a few people and one is camping, round tends to take awhile to end. Then sometimes; some players start to bitch about this. Well whose fault is it if they stay there and wait? No one forced them to wait! They can leave at any time if they don't like it. It ain't like you can force them to stay in the game. They are just a bunch of bitchy whinners! Period!

I dont think that happens very much. How many people do you know sit in the bushes and watch as the enemy walk by ? Then go set up shop some place and take them out ?
That doesnt happen very much. What happens is someone is in the bushes, and someone walks by and looks around, and sees that person in the bushes and shoots them.

Yeah, Camping is really only bad when the person camping is actually hiding from all the other player, not just waiting to ambush.
However, if there comes a moment when only a Winner and a coward are left if that camper doesn't want to get yelled at he/she should get killed or at least try to win, also if they are a coward maybe they shouldn't be playn' the damn game.

"camping" is a moot point.....some hate it,some DO it...lol...well if you are playing with a sniper rifle, you CAMP....you do not go running around cappin people at close range with a sniper rifle.......even if it is down to you and 1 other.Imean if that Last "camper" has a machine-gun and is hiding,THAT is wrong....people with sniper rifles should be allowed to camp without getting BITCHED at....I mean it is their JOB to dissappear......but those Wackaloons with rapid-firing weapons should not camp, for long...I do it for a few secs, just to try and listen and try and get an approximate fix on the possible location of my adversary.
"camping" is NOT wrong...except for some people.....

I have observed a team mate walk right by (and get killed by) an enemy hiding in the bushes that I could see clearly. Apparently many players have not noticed that different graphics settings make the bushes more or less dense. (Now more players will know.)
It would be cool if there was more depth to the bushes so you could disappear into them. Or even run through them. If you have ever played tag in a cornfield you know how fun it is.
The problem with the bushes in MoH is that visibility is worse for the player in the bushes. Should be the other way around. Maybe a future game/version will improve on this.
I tend to be weaker at aim and stronger at strategy. I have yet to be accused of camping, but I sometimes feel the pressure of people waiting for the game to finish so I hurry it up a little. But sometimes I do camp temprorarily for strategic reasons. Example: I hear gunplay to my left followed by my team mate being killed. So now I know an enemy is there. I hide in a building knowing he will walk by soon. When he does, BLAM! If he takes too long, I will carefully venture out, sneaking and looking around for him. Which reminds me: so many people don't seem to appreciate the value of walking silently. Or maybe they are just too impatient. I have killed so many opponents that way.

No such thing as camping in a game like this. Camping is a whine for a lame game like quake. In this it's a valid and neccessary tactic. The side that is defending an objective (88mm in the current objective based map) gets to plot up.

I've been in the real thing. Believe me, camping is a military art-form practiced fervently by any foot-slogger with half a brain. Unless you're in the Marines. Or Hollywood.

Hell if I had a good connection and could play MP I would ambush people. It really gives me the shits how players bitch about other players camping in a spot, if thier stupid enough to run into it, it's thier own damn fault.
This is a military game not quake, if you want to run around like an idiot without having to think then by all means play quake.
