Default EA reply on Invalid CD-Key - 02-14-2003, 07:12 AM

A reply from EA tech support on the "Invalid CD key" error some of us are getting.

"You are getting this error because Gamespy is currently in the process of merging thier servers at this time. Please bear with them, and try again in a few days, when they are finished. We have no connection to this process, and there is nothing wrong with your CD key."

Thanx to Leonov for posting this info in the Game Arena forums.

i use ASE and have the same problems. ASE unsupports Spearhead because I belive they are pulling there server listings for SH from gayspy.

I call bullsh*t.

Does anyone really think it takes 2+ weeks to move servers around?

Why hasn't there been problems with the regular moh(aa) servers? or any other game for that matter.

Why aren't these errors affecting EA's servers?

Hmmm.

@OutlawSZ

Well, you've answered one of my questions (and are you sure that EA is in fact checking cd keys, or is that just part of "moving" the gamespy servers?)

Why are EA's servers the only servers that don't have the invalid error?
