"I have a burr up my arse"

Can you not get cream for that off the doctor??

And errr .... i believe as things stand there is no way to make a cheat proof code
Its not like they dont try...its just that some coder/hacker will always find a work round and so an update is required ....its like farting against thunder so they say!!)

Siggi,

I'm sure if you read my post carefully you can use your amazing powers of perception to discern that it is I who posted the solution to YOUR problem.

Now that I know what your posts generally contain, I can assure you that I shall steer quite clear of them in the future. As it is, I cannot undo the damage that has been done.

And if you'd read any of my posts carefully you would have learned that I do run my own server.

That's gotta smart.

oh, I see... My apologies, I had mistaken this for an actual problem you were looking for a solution to. I realize now that you are simply complaining to hear the sound of your voice, in which case...

Way to go Siggi - good for you for being able to admit you were wrong and apologize. That makes you a real man, I know cause I am a real man, and I am ALWAYS apologizing, mainly to my wife so she won't kick my arse. "I know I spend too much time on the computer, but Im SORRY honey and it won't happen again"

Now what you have to do is lose the wireless mouse, cause they are slower than wired mice. I use a logitech ifeel mouse (optical) and I understand MOH will support the force feedback. If you don't like the ff, you can always turn it off. Only $10 more for the ifeel than the regular optical logitech.

And get rid of joystick and use keyboard.

I ordered a Claw as keyboard substitute, but it sounds like you are left handed and I don't think it will work for you. http://www.ferrarodesign.com.au/

I have been reading these forums for a long time but just decided to participate. Siggi has a point about strange goings on in game, sure this time he may be mistaken, but let me relate a little story to you.

Yesterday I was on a server and had a ping ranging between 45 and 60. It was team hunt and there was a guy on the opposing team who seemed invincible. He seemed to absorb a ridiculous amount of ammo without any real effect. So we began to watch him closely to see if it was our aim, or really something wrong. Myself and two others came out of the allied spawn and he ran in from the back way. He was surrounded by me and two other guys all unloading our thompsons into him with the blood patch you can really see your hits. Needless to say we riddled him and all three of us ended up dead as he ran off.
This wasn't lag, bad aim, etc. This was something very bazaar. His buddy then began to switch teams towards the end of a round to obviously tell him where our last few men were. As soon as he would switch teams, his buddy would find whoever was hiding on our team. They were either on the phone, or roger wilco.

Crap like this is what ruins games. I have played every FPS you can name and I can tell when something is funny or something is bad on the server end, etc. I am not going to name these 2 because I don't think that solves anything. My prediction is that there is already rampant tweaking of the code and this game could very well head down the fork of the road with CS in the near future. Let's hope not.

I'm happy I'm only partially interested in the multiplayer aspect of the game, otherwise, I'd also be posting in relation to how pissed off I am about cheaters.

Hopefully 2015 will attempt to fix the code.

I'm totally sick of the whole affair. This isn't what gaming is supposed to be about. Even when a game is honest everyone is so paranoid about cheats it might as well be crooked.

I've never warezed a game before, but MoH will be my first. I'm damned if I'm going to pay £35 for a game the developers can't be bothered to at least TRY to protect from hackers. Then, when my gaming fun is ruined by paranoia or an actual cheat I'll be able to smile and say "cost me bugger all."

Screw you 2015. Do the job properly or fuck off out of it.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Your right, Hotspur. It was "low-dog". His post about acid was just a little bit of levity, albeit surrounded by his usual moat of flame(I read the whole thread).

However, Given the seriousness of the title of this thread, and the fact that this exact thing is what I've previously warned him about(labelling cheaters), I have no remorse.

What's done is done. Siggi, if you truly will ease up on this compulsion to view your opponents as cheaters as opposed to merely targets(which in my opinion is more fun), then you will hear no more vitriol from me regarding this subject.

BTW, since you seem to favor IL-2 Sturmovik, I did a little research and as per your recommendation I will be picking up that game. So, I thank you for that.

And not to stray too far from the original poster: Harry potter sucks

You know that protecting against aimbots is
impossible right ? NO ONE can do ANYTHING
about it. Period.

The code, yes. We don't know how 2015 will
react to the cheats : maybe they'll support
the community and patch everything or they
might also just ignore us.

Point is, we don't know if they will or not
so let's not tell them to fuck off m'kay ?

And again, AIMBOTS cannot be prevented.
Nobody can "fix the code" for that. DEAL
WITH IT.
