Realism what they were talking about, and here we have been talking about clientside, not server side, you know what he meant.

And rockets never did and never will take skill to use, its just too easy to point and shoot. They should only be used when goofing around. They make the game much less fun. Its not fun to kill yourself and others when they are trying to play seriously. The rocket is just a joke of a weapon and should have been left for single player.

Ive heard of a paintball mod. I was told this will show you where your shots are hitting so if you use that you may find you arnt as accurate as you think. Time with the game is all that will really help

PS those leaners are easy to pick off! with a snipe rifle!!!!

That's not entirely true. Server admins can change the damage of any weapon they choose. If it is not possible realism will not exist.[/quote:5e7bc]

As Jugernaut already said (thanks for backing me up biggrin I meant client-side not server-side.

Everyone knows you can alter weapon stats through the server but no one can do it to only affect them and no one else.

I must have said that about 300 times since posting here, hehe. Look at my post count, mate, isn't it obvious I would know about pk3 editing by now? oOo:

I didn't post this many times just to look like a sad no-lifer, you know evil:

anyone who plays moh that seriously is a fool. seriously, wtf is the point? everybody whines, everybody says "that guy must be cheating, he's pwning us!"

if people really want clans, they should try dod. an actual amazing concept, teamwork.

I tried looking at DoD and decided against playing it because it looked too involved. I don't really have the time to spend on a game that requires that much dedication to team-work, that's why I've stopped playing in my MOH clan.

DoD certainly looked dedicated to realism (it makes realism mods for MoH look positively amateurish - No offense intended, I know you're working with limited resources here, modders). And, let's face it, the engine is so ancient now that you could probably get over 300 FPS with modern machines (not that you'd notice the difference, but it's funny to see how fast the Half-Life/Quake engine runs these days).

I played MoH in a clan for a long time and had some really fun games but after a while it does get a little too much. I just enjoy a quick hour or two a night, these days.

Same here, Ydiss. I joined =[LLC]= for that reason. They were a clan that didn't take things TOO seriously. We like to have fun and play by the rules, but there aren't stringent rules for practices or shit like that.

Being a cool guy is put above being a good player.

I've acquired a copy of Half Life recently, so I'm gonna see how DoD runs on my POS computer. Mind you, I'm not abandoning MoH...just curious about DoD's performance.

Rockets are a great weapon. Teams use them to hold choke points.
