Default What was outcome of TG scuffle?? - 02-20-2003, 12:07 PM

What ever became of the teamgod brew haha that was going on a month or two ago? I cant remember who was involved.

The reason I ask is this. I havent played MOH in at least a month, but decide to play last night. A buddy and me go out to our very unmonitored server (we lost interest in the server back before many of the current anticheats came out and it runs only autokick for high ping). One guy is doing mch better than everyone else and we spectate him for a bit a get highly suspicious that he may be using chameleons.

End of the match rolls around and he is bragging this that and the other. When I ask him if he has ever had that many kills before and to act like it if he has. He gets all bent out of shape and asks me if i know who team god is. He then spawns a sub in the map and continues to mouth off. Fine. Reset map, kick the idiot. He changes his name and keeps trying to re-enter with this 29 character long number for a name. We keeping him until its just a chore and let him stay to see what he is up to. Then he tells me he has my IP and I better have a good firewall. Well, I do, but thats beside the point. He clammed up and disappeared pretty quick when I let him know i had his too and I asked if he was old enough to go to grownfolks jail. I am pretty sure he still has to have his mom drive him to school still, unless he takes the short bus.

Anyway, whatever happened after the last incidents? I went to their website and it looks like it is pretty neutered since the time before and has a hundred disclaimers. Anyone from TG want to answer for this obviously immature child?

Its one thing to be suspected of cheating, but then to bring in TG, then start mouthing off, then to spawn a sub. Those are the kind of folks that are killing the game. Senseless bullcrap that only immature punks would do. You should have banned him 1st time. If he was so worried about his IP, maybe it was static, so banning him would actually work.

their goal is to get you mad by being on the same server with you over the internet. Ways they do this are by trying to provoke u with ingame chat, cheating in the game to piss you off and at the same time calling u the cheater, and if you respond to them or mouth off at all they crash servers. A flame war is their goal, the only defense is to ignore them.

I did have one interesting incident where we were playing 2v2 and a guy joins with the name i suck. He soon leaves the server but when he does all of our names change to i suck. They also managed to make text come up in top left corner saying teamgod owns u. i think u would normally do that by using the iprint command but they were doing both these things without the rcon password.

[quote="Bazooka_Joe":f08dc]they attacked me with an AIM hack that crashes AIM[/quote:f08dc]

That same thing happened to me. I recieved a message one day from the name God Joey. The message said, "Having problems?". I thought to myself, WTF. All of a sudden AIM crashed and everytime I tried to get it back up it would just crash. So I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now its back. Wonder how they do that crap. Stupidity.
