Default NOT QUITE OUTA LUCK - 03-02-2003, 10:48 PM

your not outa luck at all...the router can be set to allow communication with the out side world..be careful what router you get..make sure you get one that can be set the way you want. dont believe everything you read here. i assume your using a router because you have more then one computer in your home. IT CAN BE DONE!!

i am behind a router because the damn phone company only give 1 ip to dsl users, and for all of you who say dsl sucks, if you are near a dsl hub it can be REALLY fast.

i will see if i can let the router allow acess to the server mashine, if this does not work i will make the server the gateway to the outside world and have the other mashines branch off of it from the router.

thankyou for the reply

You have to open the MOHAA ports.

Stop by my site and check out the guides section for the MOH port guide
or use this link: http://www.mohadmin.com/nuke/modules.ph ... age&pid=13

You have two options. place the server in your router's DMZ. This will open that computer up to the Internet or forward the correct ports listed in the guide mentioned above.

Make sure your router has the latest firmware. you may want to check out a message board like dslreports for info regarding specific routers and their capabilities.

It can be done. The only problem you will encounter with one IP, two or more computers and a router is, hosting a MOH server on one box. Playing MOH on another.

It could be done but now you have to expose your server in the DMZ.

Good luck and for more info on serving and administrating MOH check out
