Yes. If you have Windows XP, enable the Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) from your LAN connection properties. This will stop it. These msgs derive from Kazaa.

If you have DSL it could cause a problem with your connection.

turning off messanger service........go to control panel. then administrative tools...then double click on the services icon. that will bring up a list of all the services running on your pc. scroll down till you see the messanger service. double click on it . look for the field "start up type" it will probably say " automatic" click on the selector arrow to the right of automatic..and choose "disable" then click apply and ok..restart your computer..NO MORE MESSANGER SERVICE CRAP...hope that helped. that damn thing drove me nuts till i got rid of it. gald to help anyone with the same problem.
