1. get a new flag, search google images. then convert it into a pdf. in photoshop.
2. new background, wood color would look eh, ok. but that would kinda blend with the soldiers. i've got a matrix code background if you want it...

A good ,very texturized, brown colored background, with a dark border..3d looking with some bevel....etc

well, the grid is created by :
1. Make a background, not just one color..Distort it, make it have a little texture and 2-3 diff colors. Colors that are go together, such as black and red...
2. In paintshop, do the Weave effect. Sorry, but i forgot what the adjustments are..just fool around with it LOL.. in photoshop i guess it's the tiles filter?..not sure, only use photoshop for my backgrounds..
For the border, it depends on which program you use.

Although maybe the theme of the picture is your sig doesnt fit, your new sig is waay better than your current one, if you maybe put a swastika or something on it, then it would look great.
