Because a LAN game is a Local Area Network. If you are broadcasting your game to the net, it will not broadcast to the LAN, as the LAN is for local games, not WAN games.
is there any way to broadcast to the lan and the internet, i have done it before.
i am booting the server up threw a icon on the desk top and then having it execute a cfg file
but before when i could see it threw the lan and internet i did it threw the game.
i dont think you can run the game on a LAN and internet at the samtime. in my computers class all the comps are networked to gether and we play LAN games on them but i dont think they can be run on the internet at the sametime.
Actually you can. I was able to host a server on the net and have someone else join from another comp in our house on the network. I just hosted and they joined. Showed up on list fine.
I cn confirm this as true. I've seen many players run a server and have someone else connect to it via LAN (and with pings of no more than 10-15 ever).

Weird, I never knew this was possible. Anyone know an exact way to do it?
