Default Obj Dogwhite Map - 03-11-2003, 04:23 PM

Firstly, great shame Syanide gave up on this, just been running through it again. Apart from one or two areas, it's tight.

The question is, does anyone know the website that this map originally featured as part of?

It's just that they were releasing the raw map files, and I'd like to bot it up, and have a tinker

All help appreciated

York

I think an omaha type map would be cool with bots. I have always wanted to play out the omaha level of mohaa as the germans, manning an mg42 or sniper and cutting through the allies. Storming up the beach with the bots would be cool too, and not being as scripted and linear as in the SP levels.

I can't wait until the day that my PC will be powerful enough to house say 64 people on Omaha with no lag. Have 8 Germans on MG-42s the rest on Allies. I want a Screenie of that, it would be so sweet.

i think the problem with the current omaha map is it is too small. there was fire coming from all sides not just from the bunkers, the small size of the map really limits that. and something to keep the germans from going on the beach....

i would want to ohmaa redone to be what the beach actuly looked like for ex the germans can't go on the beach, there are no doors that alow you to get from the beach and walk right into the guns and finally there are no sniper rifles in the one map. because the USA did not give any one sniper rifles untill later in the war

Does anyone have the contact details for Syanide or the location of the Dog White map files for download?

Well, you could try to script it like Day of Defeat Omaha. If a German tries to get to the beach he just atomatically dies. If someone could copy the Omaha Beach from single player, re-map it to have more trenches, keep the bots in and leave a small town that would be my dream custom SP map...

No, I don't know where to get the filey thingy.

i think to get the omnaha map to be fun to play take away all sniper rifles. this way people wont be as afraid to get on the MG42's. then make i like in Saving Private Ryan where you gotto go up the hill to get to the bunkers. This will take care of the axis camping the door! also make the beach longeer, like SP map and then it adds to the realism of seeing tracers come out of fog. i know this might kill FPS but it makes map funner. also make it so if axis run down slope they die.
