Enemy of the Gates was really good. Even though Band of Brothers wasn't a movie, it was a good series.
The Bridge over River Kwari or something like that. That's the one to see. It's WW2 isn't it?

Windtalkers looks good too. By the way this is just a question how can I get a higher ranking? By posts, or does someone rank me?

A Bridge to Far is a good movie, and I am just watching Force 10 from Navarone on DVD, the sequel to The Guns of Navarone which is around here somewhere on VHS I think, maybe DVD.

SPR hands down is my favorite of all time. Big Red One, Patton, and Band of Brothers also are great. Band of Brothers is coming out on DVD???

ack pearl harbor, hate that movie, has nothing but propagada written all over it, i wanna see more movies involving more of the least done stuff, i like bastogne, and the eastern front, not just americans vs. germans/japanese, i wanna see more sommonwealth movies, like a bridge too far, and battle of britan, also the thin red line was good. well, i thought it was good, historical accuracy doesn't make movies. i liked it because it actually showed something else besides yankee shoot japanese, but the drama folks, but still SPR tops my list.

Saving Private Ryan... best movie I've ever seen. Thin Red Line, incredible movie... I hope they come out with a director's cut. Pearl Harbor... save for the Shakespearian Love tragedy crap, and it's okay for Americans to be patriotic about a moment that helped define our nation. The Longest Day, incredible movie, although very dated. When Trumpets Fade, visually a great movie, well written, very good acting... sound sucked. Battleground, a powerful movie for the time, actually holds pretty well to todays standards. Patton... he will wreck you. A Bridge too Far... Sean Connery, Anthony Hopkins, James Caan... need I say more? Sands of Iwo Jima, the mother fuckin Duke ruled ass in this movie. Guadalcanal Diaries, watch this movie, then watch the Thin Red Line... it's weird. Enemy at the Gates, needed more combat scenes, but was a great movie, sans the love crap and poor sound design.

Now for a couple of movies I thought sucked... Stalingrad, I thought this would be like Saving Private Ryan, only in the Eastern Front... it wasn't. It sucked, the movie sucked, the sound sucked, the pacing sucked, and the visuals sucked. I especially hated when the guy was cut in half... that looked awful, or when the guy shot himself in the mouth, and it took the bullet about two seconds to go through him and the blood spurted out of his back. Then Tora! Tora! Tora! sucked. It sucked when it came out, and it sucks now. It left out the whole personal feeling of the attack on Pearl Harbor that it needs. It downlplayed Dorrie Miller's bravery, hell... I didn't even know that was a black guy until I really looked. It was just a boring, long, boring movie with no personality. I could go on with more movies that I didn't like... but this is good for now.

That is true, but nobody really cares

I only saw 2 WWII-movies: The thin red line and Enemy at the gates. The thin red line was boring cause he was too long (in my opinion) but I really liked Enemy at the gates with the shooting, sniping,...

"A bridge too far" is really really good. I'm also fond of "The Longest Day" despite being so incredibly fake at times lol. There's so many good ones. Memphis Belle was great, as was Kelly's Heros and The Dirty Dozen. Man, I haven't seen The Dirty Dozen in YEARS, I need to rent that again soon!
