I saw this on the news yesterday, and i was interested to hear what the Americans on the forum thought of this, in that, the US has backed Israel for ages now. What do you all think of this, and has your opinion changed since this incident with the Girl?

RAFAH, Gaza (CNN) -- An Israeli bulldozer Sunday killed an American woman protesting the destruction of Palestinian houses in the Gaza city of Rafah on the border with Egypt, Palestinian security sources and witnesses said.
The woman, identified as Rachel Corrie, 23, of Olympia, Washington, was taken to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.
She had been part of the International Solidarity Movement, a group protesting Israeli actions in the occupied territories and recently appeared in a televised mock trial in which President Bush was accused of war crimes for his support of Israel's actions in Gaza.

I never supported Isreal neither did I ever support Palestine. Still the death of the girl is tragic. The people who said the woman who was protesting against the destruction of the civilian houses deserve to die in this forum makes me sick. And to think taht alot of them were fellow Americans makes it worst. *cough* Miller

From reading the reports, seems like she was able to be seen, and the driver blantly ignored her, probably cuz it was a military bulldozer. I think it was wrong they didn't stop, but I still have no issue with Israel.

It's a tragedy she died, but she assumed the risk by going there to begin with. I don't have anything against the Israelis. It was an unfortunate incident.

Its tragic that she had to die but, hey if I saw a huge bulldozer coming for me, I would have gotton the hell out of the way
