It might just be one of the bugs with the co-op mode not a cheat. Heh DOD old days was only a year ago :P HL doesnt have telefrags even though its based on the quake engine.

Telefragging isn't a bug it's just a way of dealing with an complex situation. I mean what else can you do when a person is standing on a spawn point. You obviously can't have s player just spawn there or you're going to get some nasty model clipping. Originally, there was the idea that you could just move the player to the next unblocked spawn point. However, if you've got a map with very few spawn points, you could theorhetically control where a new player spawns by having other players stand on all the other spawn points. Or what would happen if players were standing on all the spawn points. Granted this would be hard to coordinate, but I've seen stranger things done. Anyway, either of the circumstances would lead to a crappy experience, so something had to be done about the situation. Thus, the telefrag was created to discourage players from blocking a spawn point (and alleviate problems with game mechanics, like the afore mentioned clipping problem). Yes, there is that chance that a person may accidentally be on a spawn point at the wrong time; however this occurs so rarely that it's not deemed a problem.
Oh yeah, Telefragged is also a decent computer game website.

UT. Now that was telefragging. I remember how I got a CD with custom levels in it, made by fellow gamers, and there was this one level, and it was small, had 1 spawn point, and was absolutely FUBAR. It was better to not click to spawn then to spawn and try to move before you get telefragged.
And the DoD Beta 1.0 thing is different, such as problems with a lack of spawns, and instead of telefragging, you could spawn at the middle point of the map (I think) and if you were unlucky enough to spawn in a wall, tough. I think that was the spawn bug.

Telefraged?
You Quake dudes (Q3 is a killer DM game and I play it also) miss all the fun "Telefraging" other opponents using the TRANSLOCATOR in Unreal Tournament.
For those who are in the "WTF?" mode:
The "Tranz" is a device that shoots a spinning disc on Primary Fire, about 50 to 100 feet horizontally, and/or 30 feet (3 levels) vertically. Once the disc lands, an antenna pops up. When Secondary Fire is pressed it "Teleports" the player to the position that the disc is located. Excellent device!
Those who master the Tranz can move about like a spook, appearing, and disappearing in different spots at will. It also increases your speed to get from one area of a map to another. If you leave a disc in the enemy's camp (CTF), run back to your base and score, you can instantly Teleport back to the enemy base.
The Tranz is also a very effective weapon by "Telefraging" anyone in your path. As you approach an opponent, shoot the disc (lob the disc) towards the opponent, then Teleport at the exact moment when the disc is in very close proximity of your victim. Whooosh! You teleport to that spot, kill your opponent, and add another frag to your total.
UT has the same problem getting "Telefraged" by either simultaneously respawning in the same spawn area with someone else, or by standing in a spawning area when someone respawns. It happens, it sucks, and the funny thing is that whoever survives the simultaneous respawn gets a frag for it!
BTW- Newbee with MOHAA (just got it last night) with three stupid questions:
1) I'm certain that there is a console in this game, what key activates the console window?
2) Does the console allow multiple functions for raw key bindings on press and release of the key?
3) Is there a script that enables joystick support? The control menu doesn't do it, and I was successful enabling the joystick in RTCW by adding a script. (I use 3 controls-Mouse, Keyboard, and Joystick)
Thanks in advance to those who can help me out.

answers to your questions :
1.first go to your MOH:AA shortcut and right-click it,then click properties.then add this line one space after the end of the "target" line.... +set developer "1" +set ui_console 1
then in-game use the ~ key to bring it up...you can type in cmdlistand get a full list of all the different commands.
2.prolly is...damned if I know how though
3.lol...never use those darn joysticks,so one again,Dunno....

There is a dark side to this "Telefrag/Respawn" topic:
The scumbag "spawnkiller cheats" who either have a clear sniper shot to, or camp near a "Respawning" location. They are nothing more than sub-amphibious lambasted pieces of shit! They kill players, as they are respawning, and most vulnerable. Epic/UT came out with a mod called spawn-guard that makes the player invincible for about five seconds, enough time to find a weapon and blast the crap outa these jerks.
Actually I'm not a newbie wooby to the FPS world, and I can blast with the best of them in UT online. There is one thing that I do when there is a spawnkiller. I tell them that THEY are now MY ONLY TARGET! Like a spook out of no-where, there I am at their seemingly safe sniper spot, I either knock them off into oblivion, stand there with the Tranz and telefrag them as they turn around, or best yet- start loading a five rocket load into the rocket launcher- 'zaa-zink zaa-zink zaa-zink", by the time they turn around too see what the noise is it's too late and they are BLASTED!
I am so fast with the Tranz, that I can't be hit that easily by these sniping assholes. I usually get to them several times blasting them each time until they get frustrated and leave the server. Good riddance!
That’s the "-=]XK[=UTomic=PUNK=-" version of "spawn-guard".
HA! HA! HA! You cheating bastards! See if you can kill me! (Spawn Killers)

Hey, thanks for the input FuBaR!
I already wrote and tested a few subscripts, and I'm experimenting with editing the cfg file. I'm working on getting this program setup the way I like it. I plan on playing MOHAA quite a bit in the future. It's worth my time in getting the configuration of the games interfaces just right, so I can play at my best.
First Impressions: I have the demo, and I like what I have seen so far. The game is really well done. The AI is very good, and the protocol structure of the botz is done in a way that leads you through the map as a team. Funny, the music has a variance in tempo that alerts you to a safe, or dangerous position. It is a game of strategy, and brute force together. Good Combo!
