Default LINKIN PARK - METEORA - 03-23-2003, 10:41 AM

Ok, no offense, but these guys arent fucking Radiohead. Making a 34 minute fucking CD doesn't cut it, especially when alot of your music sounds like resynthisized remixes of your old shit.

This isn't to say the CD isn't any good. It just feels to fucking old-hat. You sit here thinking to yourself, "did I put in fucking HYBRID THEORY?". Songs about "females" hurting the "rapper" and "rocker". Metaphorical songs about "losing" oneself (through being in a relationship). I mean what the fuck, you'd think these guys were Boyz II Men (fuck remember when these guys were gods?) with all the "relationship" songs they have - I count...lets see....I can count about 4 songs so far that are about relationships...thats 33% so far, and about 10 minutes...we get it....they're shit with women.

But, Somewhere I belong is a good song (although I like the ORIGINAL one alot better), as is Lying Away From You, Faint, Nobody's Listening (if only for the cool ninja-music-sampling), and Dont Stay. The rest of them are "HYBRID THEORY- B SIDES". Of course, they have alot of "singles" on here, so we will be hearing this CD on the radio for many moons to come.

Overall out of 5 stars I'd give this thing 3.

I got the CD a few days ago. It isn't too bad in my opinion, I like the songs just as much as I liked the first one. Pretty good I say.

They're a pretty good band, the only thing that pissed me off is when they first came out everyone was like "These guys are pioneers, bringing rap and rock together." just because they were the first guys to make it big in top 40

I dunno, HYBRID THEORY just seemed like a better album, (despite all the songs being pretty old). This one has some good songs on it, but it feels like if we waited THIS LONG for new LINKIN PARK, it should sound a lil bit different.

Yeah, I would agree. I like several songs, like Don't Stay, Numb, and Easier to Run, but there could have been more songs, and longer ones too.
