I still looking for a easier setup, but this is how I do it at the moment. Its tuff to find a good set up when your pinky suffers from arthritis.

I use telepathy to tell my computer what to
do.

I use WASD and the surrounding keys, like
most people nowadays.

Ah, yes, I forgot...thanks for reminding me...I don't know how I'd lean....I'm new to FPS for the PC, so I don't know exactly...

BUT, I use Right Mouse for Fire, and Left Mouse to use/activate things such as doors, pick up stuff that you can't run over and pick up automatically, etc., etc.

see the little pencil and paper on your post. click it.

dont forget the default for right click is for bashing with your gun butt, im sure it will have a use in the sp game, so map it somewhere.
Also dont drive yourself nuts trying to lean in the sp demo, ya cant... but ya can in the full version.

thanks for your info, trying to get use to it now. I had forgot the wheel is not only a wheel but a button.

For those who have mastered the game and want a challenge, try not binding a reload key. For more of a challenge, don't bind keys for forward or strafe either. You have to run backwards. This is how I play now. It is definitely more of a challange. One thing I noticed though, you have to turn around a lot.

It seems my set-up is still unique. Not seen anyone else use the key-pad for controls like I do to this date.

Movement: Key-pad 4, 5, 6, 8
Right arrow: Duck
Up arrow, or down arrow: Walk
Key-pad Enter, or Key-pad plus: Jump
Key-pad 7: Reload
Key-pad 1: Use
Key-pad 9: MG
Key-pad 3: SMG
Key-pad /: Holster
Key-pad *: Grenades
Key-pad 0: Binoculars (hardly used)
Page Down: Drop weapon
Page up/Tab: Scores
Key-pad Del: Roger Wilko activate

Mouse 1: Primary
Mouse 2: Secondary
Mouse 3: Pistol
Mouse-Wheel up: Rifle
Mouse-Wheel down: Heavy

I am very comfortable with that, as every key I need is under my fingers at all times. Uses less stress on your pinky, too, as you don't have to press down with the tip to duck or walk, you just have to flatten your finger over the keys.

I like to be unique

One thing I'd like them to change, is the multiplayer weapon selection. It seems pointless having an individual key to select each type of weapon when you can only own one at any time anyway.

Should just be: Primary weapon select, Pistol, Grenades.

I hate it when I'm in the middle of a fight and have switched to grenades/pistol and hit the wrong key to get the MG out, 'cos I forgot I had it rather than the SMG. Wastes a few seconds that can mean death.

I can see why you can do it in SP, but there's no point having different keys for selecting the primary weapon you chose in MP as you can only have one anyway.

I use the standard WASD and surrounding assigned keys too. BUT, I'm looking into the Nostromo Keypad thingy. Looks more comfortable than your standard keyboard and it has the same functions. For 30 bucks, why not?
