Actually, the Tchad Regiment was part of the Free French army, but it was inspired on his 9th Company, which was totally formed by Spanish, veterans from the Spanish Civil War who escaped to France when it finished (that's why I did it). For some reason which I never discovered, that skin messed up some mods on some people's computers. I've indeed done a skin with the Adrian helmet, but it's not publicly available nor is part of the french army. This is a soldier from the Garibaldi Bn., which grouped Italian volunteers fighting the Spanish CW by the Republican side:

As I said, it's not released as it's part of a TC mod.

YoChoy

However (damn non-existent edit button), it has a lot to do with world history and not only with Spanish history: The spanish CW was almost a preview of what WW2 would be. Mussolini and Hitler lined up with Franco, whereas the USSR backed the Republican side. European democracies were officially neutral and did not support any of the sides in an attempt to calm Hitler and stop the spreading of communism, however a lot of volunteers from many countries (Italy, UK, USA, France, Germany, East Countries...) come into Spain by his own means to defend the democratic elected government.

That Civil War became a Babel hell, where you could see both old fashioned WWI charges and the most modern battle tactics of the time (by Hitler's Condor Legion), such as dive bombing, swarm formations, the first Blitzkrieg movements, and, most infamous of all, bombing of cities away from the frontline just to tear down the enemy's will to fight. One of these last episodes was the inspiration for Picasso's "Guernica".

YoChoy

Why would there be French soldiers in the Pacific?

Thanks biggrin:

And don't worry, Reliable, your spanish is ok :-). I really hope this project will have a happy end unlike most mods, since it's the very first game on the Spanish CW and the Moh engine is perfect for this. So far we are working for only two months and we haver arrived further than most TC's for Mohaa.

YoChoy

There are more weapons and skins already in game, but I'm not going to show all the goodies just now biggrin:

The tough part is mapping, but I wont hesitate to ask for community support on this if it's required to finish the mod.

YoChoy
