I love snipers, but I hate being sniped. The worst thing in this game is when U get some ShottieWhore in your sights just sittin there or duckin be hind a rock, and right before u light him up u get smoked by another sniper. But what the hell. My fault for sittin still.

I think the typical sniper is a loser n00b who is too scared and foolish to engage himself in the actual battle. As a self-proclaimed "shotty whore", I make a habit of hunting down any and all snipers that kill me. You know how I do that. Because they're stupid. There is always more than 1 way to get somewhere, and if you kill me, I will find another way to personally come up from behind you and place a nice shotgun round into the back of your skull.
Now, that being said, I must say another thing. I play this game, typically, about 30 minutes - 1 hour a day on average. From the thousands of different players I've seen, the amount of "good" snipers that I've actually encountered I can count on two hands. Any fool can sit in a two-story building and pull the trigger when someone walks by. I think you guys give yourselves too much credit. Some of you guys are probably simply amazing, but I think just about everyone else generally sucks at sniping.
Now, I would say to be a "good" sniper, you would have to be able to meet people, hand-to-hand combat style, and consistently kill them without using your scope. Now that is very difficult. I salute any and all who can consistently do this. That is why I show a great deal of respect to the players, good or not, who have the balls to walk up and fight a shotgun-weilding newb with a Mauser or sniper rifle. I myself have been consistently practicing with this rifle (The Mauser), and it is a very hard weapon to use. I would challenge any sniper here to play "on the field" weilding just the Axis rifle. Any one who can hold their own out there doing this, you OWN.
My ranting is over. Have a nice day.

the point of sniping is to cover YOUR TEAM, not to run out and get killed.
The entire point of TDM or objective is to make it so your TEAM wins. I hate the friggin' losers who want to go iron-man and end up making it so the other team can flank all of my team.

In my opinion, if you can close quarter snipe, your better than any of the other weapons in the game. The only downside is that you walk slow, and can only have 5 rounds at a time, unless you are on a sniper only server that is has a mod. But if your a sniper only clan and your damn good, you could be a threat on ladders...

Snipers -

I'm a new poster...
snipers are cool. I don't mind them at all, I sometimes play a sniper and as you all know it's hard. For the ones that do it my hat goes off to them. I play random online servers and there is this one sniper Danny, great sniper he can get anyone anywhere. even when you think you're covered you have to think again.
The fun part about being a sniper is the predictability of some stupid soldiers. In Stadt its fun to snipe the church tower because people always go up there after getting wasting dozens of times.

in my mind this is how players progress in skill based on weapon of choice:
1-Bazooka & shotty=n00b
2-mg's = begins to memorise maps and learn the tricks of the trade
3-smg'S = amateur or semi-pro the people are VERY good with their weapon of choice but lack the accuracy on reflex shots to be a challenge
4- m1's and snipers= these peeps think they are all that, sure they are most accruate players than the others but an m1' is just a smg with a small clip wheras the snipers at this level are good, very good, near pro but arnt able to fight face to face agasint anything other than another sniper
5- riflers= the cream of the crop, who needs a scope to sniper, rifles are just as accurate and they reload faster! reflex shots are easy , maps are known better than the palm of thweir hand. (my level, no joke im not a ego brat who likes to brag, i just know my level)

u still believe this is a team game? i never play as a team, considering 95% of the kids on the server dont know jack shit about the game. i do want to go iron-man, cause i can.. and it works. what fun is it to sit around hiding behind boxes "covering your team"? ive seen a 1,000+ of kids like u stryker... ur all the same.
