ive just been over at the official mohaa forum and it appears that a version has indeed leaked out to warez sites etc. apparently there are two cds. 1 with 49-15 meg files on and the other with 50-15 meg files. coming to a grand total of...1.34 gig!!

although i m not sure if the info is entirely accurate, if it is a bad time for it to happen.

Yeah, I believe Fairlight released a pirated version of MOH:AA.

I have to disagree that pirating is immoral. It's a situational morality. However, I also feel that paying for any software you use is the only noble thing to do, and that includes video games, even if you do think they're expensive. I also don't think we should start a piracy argument, since there's always going to be some people who see a need for piracy, and others who adhere to the law. More power to us all.

I may get the pirated version, cause I'm anxious to try the game, and I've killed the SP demo 3 ways left of tuesday (who the hell invents stupid phrases like that?) But I still plan to go to the store on the 23rd with my roommates and buy several copies for our MoH release lan party

An addendum to my earlier post, Don't worry about piracy for this game, I imagine they will be using a cd key system similar to half-life for playing online? I certainly hope so. That system at least doubled half-life's sales. Yeah, the single player game was phenomenal, and made it GOTY, however, multiplayer gaming is what keeps half-life going, years later. It STILL sells for 40 dollars, because you can't play online without paying for it

Tho perhaps MOH doesn't do anything like that, and that'd be a major mistake on EAs part (but they don't have a clue anyhow) cause I seem to remember a developer saying MP wasn't a big deal to them.

The game does not use cd-key protection unlike Q3A, RTCW, and Half Life.

I was able to get online and play on a rather nice T3 server. It's a load of fun, except for the people who whine about how sniping on the omaha map is unfair because they can't get behind the MG-42's and lay waste to the sand critters.

The more I play this game, the more I see half-life coming off my hard drive (finally). This game is the bomb.

I'm not sure if it was this thread or another, however, this game has been golden since mid-december., and the game was sent out to gaming mags/websites/etc. for pre-release reviews drawing more hype for the masses, and getting more people to buy the game off the shelves.

I imagine that this is how the game was 'leaked', that someone working for a major gaming mag decided to clone off the cds.

Is it possible of an early release? I have heard rumors of some people getting a copy of it and playing it..... What do you think?
